Ed's Bakery — Restaurant in Conway

Cashier was friendly and polite, however their was 2 workers in the back prepping cookies and one worker had on gloves and the other worker did not. As I was picking out my items I couldn't help but to notice and observe the young lady touch her cell phone and other things on the prep table then touching the cookies which made me a little sick to my stomach because of the covid and other viruses that can come about with improper food handling. I tried to blow it off, and shake the feeling, I still made the purchase and I politely and quietly asked the cashier to let the young lady know she should be wearing gloves without being ugly or causing a scene. I proceeded to the car after making the purchase, once in the car I just couldn't get over the idea of it so I returned back to the store and observed her still without gloves on and still handling the food, so I politely and quietly told the cashier I just couldn't and I didn't want any money back she could just keep the food and the money! I just feel that everyone who is preparing and selling food to the public should be clean...

Horrible customer service!! This was my first time ordering here. My friends birthday was today so I decided to give this place a try. It’s sad when you walk in an establishment and they look at you like you’re a bother. I asked the workers how they were doing and they gave me a blank stare. I tried to order a ballon and was informed they couldn’t do it. I ordered cupcakes and cookies and when it was time to pay they said since my order wasn’t over 40 dollars I couldn’t pay with a 100 dollar bill and that was the only money I had. Not to mention I waited 30 minutes for my order so the whole surprise party had to get post poned due to work hours. The cashier acted like she didn’t care and was very bothered that I was there. The building was gross and smelt of mold. Please save your time and money before coming here. I bought a cake for my boyfriend here because I was visiting and didn't wanna use his friend's kitchen since it was supposed to be a surprise. We picked Ed's because it was convenient and we thought it'd be better than a Walmart cake. Wrong. It was overpriced for the quality we got. No one even wanted to eat it. It tasted like really super cheap "from a box" cake which is NOT what they advertise. If I wanted box cake, I'd have bought a mix or gone to Walmart, not a "custom bakery". Also, the decorations they did were like something by a five year old. Thoroughly disappointed. That being said, the place was clean and the service was generic but not bad.
