I have lived in the south all my life. I have lived here in Horry County for 27 years, and have been to this particular Eggs Up Grill several times. They have a few waitresses that can and will be rude. I have experienced that on more than one occasion with now two particular waitresses. Today, all I asked was could she (Shelley) take the bacon back and cook it a little longer. Her response, "did you ask for crispy bacon". Well, no, but what does that have to do with it?? You don't ask a question like that to a paying customer, just take the bacon and cook it a little longer for me. It doesn't matter if I asked for crispy bacon or not. What really got me was she proceeded to write a note on a piece of paper and give it to the staff cooking in the back. I was right there at the bar watching her hand a written note to them and them looking at each other. My lord, just tell them, a note, really? At that point, I was pissed with the attitude and couldn't really enjoy the rest of my breakfast. I told her just to forget it about the bacon. I didn't want the bacon that bad. She said she didn't mean to be rude. Well, sorry, you were. She instead brings me more bacon and says is that cooked enough? At that point, I just wanted the check. My appetite had changed. I no longer was enjoying my breakfast. There is an Eggs Up Grill close to Conway Hospital and they don't act like this. I have been in there just as many and more times than here and no one there has ever acted the way some of these waitresses in here act. I have a home right around the corner from this Eggs Up Grill. I could walk here if I had to. I was thrilled when I realized there was going to be an Eggs Up Grill close to my house. I will never go in there again. I will drive across town to the other Eggs Up Grill from now on. Maybe you need to have your waitresses take a class on southern hospitality, or better yet, talk to the owner of the Eggs Up Grill close to Conway Hospital. From what I have been told by them they have heard a lot about your particular restaurant's staff from other customers coming back to them. You truly need help with manners in how you treat...
Read moreWell been going to this eggs up for awhile, sometimes twice or three times a week. Well today I was very vexed with eggs up and the white guy who expo the food. Very rude to several staff members.i order the same meal everything I go and the waitress does not have to ask, that's how much I eat. I eat the grand everything. Today I was not a good day there. As I said I always get grand with 2 English muffins Well butter. Well I got my eggs and turkey bacon and turkey sausage, and two English muffins not buttered, so I did not eat them. Ate my food and waitress was busy and she said something to white expo guy and he was flat out rude to her.I almost said something but my wife kept me in check. Well I told my waitress I never got my double order of homefries, she said sorry and turn to expo guy and I told her please do not tell him because he will be a smart ass as he has been. Waitress took English muffins off my check and I told her I would pay for for my meal so she did not have to take off my bill. But that expo guy is telling waitresses to read the order and he can not do as he says because I never got my home fries and I do not think a person should talk to anyone like he did let alone in front of customers. I know they were busy, but that's not a excuse to be mean to people. Would it been OK for me to stand up and yell at him for not giving me my food? No ,because I am not like that. The only way I know how to handle it is to do just this leave a review, and maybe...
Read moreBecause I absolutely love the Eggs Up Grill in Columbia so we choose to stop by this location on our way home from Myrtle Beach. My family felt lucky and we were pleased that there was no line. Seated immediately upon arriving and we had drinks in front of us before we could even open the menu! But that where everything went down hill. Our waitress disappeared and our drinks were dry. I happened to glance over at a side booth and she was rolling dining ware. I made eye contact and she smiled then I nudged a slight wave that we needed service. Her face smirked as if I flung cow pies her way and she looked away. We waited 15 minutes more, hoping that she would walk our way soon, we were the only party in the restaurant. She never came. Finally an older couple walked in to be seated and she went over to seat them and she still ignored us. So one of us had to get up and walk over to the coffee station to refill our cups. (I'm grateful that the coffee was easily accessible) She did come over after seeing him serving himself to offer an urn of coffee for our table. To top off our breakfast experience, my BLT had no tomatoes but we couldn't find our waitress to tell her. I had to walk back to the kitchen myself. Even then, the cook just handed me 2 slices of tomatoes and offered a "sorry." Maybe I am just spoiled by the Eggs Up Grill...
