Waffle House — Restaurant in Conway

My husband and I went to breakfast this morning at 5 am at Waffle House On Church St in Conway. The bill was $22.25 and we left a $7 tip. This was quite an unpleasant experience. Half the restaurant was blocked off, making the seating area near the restroom. We weren't greeted when we walked in. I know their policy, I worked there in the 90's.Then another couple came in behind us and was served first with their drinks. Apparently they're regulars.

We waited, finally the young girl Ciera took our order. The cook was late. Another female employee (server) that rode to work with the cook, started her shift with a cup of coffee and facetiming on her phone as she stood over the grill while the cook was preparing the food. We received a waffle, waited a bit on our food, and still didn't receive the bacon. The waffle was cold, the food was cold when it arrived to the table. All the while, as we sat there trying to eat our food and leave to get this experience behind us. We watched as the cook kept touching the female employee that rode to work with him with his gloved hands on her hip and side, that is preparing everyone's food. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of none is because Ciera did her job and she can't help that she has poor management above her. I understand why people pay more to go to Eggs UP just...

I went on 6/24/22. 1AM When I arrived I noticed one of the servers was leaving. As I was walking to the door the cook locked the door pretty much in my face. No explanation for me at all. A lady with a Walker came up with in a minute or two I said that the door was locked. We asked the employees that were now behind the store why the door was locked several times finally the older women said that the cook hasn't had a break so they closed the store for him to have a break. We asked how long, they replied 30 minutes so we decided to wait. We talked a while as we waited for the break. Roughly 20 minutes passed so the Lady I was talking with asked the employees how much longer she had to ask several times before one of the workers said 30 minutes again. So before I hurt the cook I left. I sat in parking lot next to the Waffle house for another 15 minutes and the old lady with the walker was still waiting. Sorry excuse for an employee. I will call the store in the morning and corporate office and Raise as much hell I can. Very disturbing!! I go there still No more door's have been...

Probably the worst waffle house I've been in and that's really saying alot because Noone has high expectations walking into a waffle house. Dirty dishes piled all over the counter when I arrived. I honestly thought about walking out but there's nowhere else to eat here at 4am. Received a half cooked waffle, halfway through my meal an employee arrived and began to do the dishes. While standing in front of the dish sink( directly in front of where I'm eating), the employee decides to treat me to possibly the worst rendition of Toni Braxtons "unbreak my heart" that I've ever heard. I wouldn't have noticed it if she wasn't screaming it in my face in the wrong key. All the while the other server was having an overly loud phone conversation over to the side. I feel bad for the cook, because the food he made was up to snuff. He looked as if he was questioning his life choices the entire time i was there. Waffle house usually sets the bar pretty low. Conway waffle house has removed the bar and buried it in a shallow grave behind the dumpster....
