We have been loyal customers for several years now and always loved Toyama - until tonight! We ordered three entree meals, my husband paid for them and we left. We get a few miles down the road and someone calls (speaking mostly another language, not fluent enough in English to really understand him) but I understand the words "chicken" and "you come back" over and over, so we turned around and went back. As I'm driving back my husband opened the top box in our bag and see it has steak and shrimp (I'm allergic to shrimp, only ordered steak). He opened the second box, it was another of the same (we ordered two chicken). He didn't even pull out the third box. He goes inside with the bag and starts pulling the boxes out and the owner guy starts opening them with him - realized the bottom was as actually one of the chicken meals. He had our correct two meals sitting beside the table and placed them in our bag. He told my husband the top two were someone else's, that he had ours right now. My husband told him he had to throw them away, not to give to someone else because they had been handed over to us and we opened them in my car. He kept ignoring husband, wouldn't even look at him. I don't know if it was a language barrier or what, but in operating a business, that is crucial. My husband watched him walk around the corner and place the two meals we brought back in another bag and try to hand a Door dash delivery driver! My husband immediately told the driver what had happened, so he walked out to call the customer before taking it. The owner started yelling at my husband "you go now" because he was letting the customer know what had happened .This is unsanitary, I can't believe he even thought this was okay to do!! When my husband came back to the car, I was disgusted. We didn't eat our meals and definitely won't be back. I have always understood once a food item is handed over to someone, it can't be accepted back, it has to be...
Read moreThis place is horrible. Went in to order a sit down dinner with my children, took 45 minutes to get food. When we first walked in, we noticed alot of people waiting and waiting with no food on their tables. The lady who works there acted as if our order was lost, she brought out food that wasn't ours. We watched countless other orders go out before the wrong order was brought out to us. Once the correct order was brought to our table, we were actually tired of waiting.
Once we tasted the food, it was not worth it! The quality of chicken was horrible, not worth the money or wait. We only tasted the food, couldn't finish it. Asked for refund, they voided sale. Still haven't received the refund from their credit card merchant. They barely speak English or understand English. It was unorganized and horrible!
Also drink machine is located in a funky place by the register. We were in everyone's way when we were getting drinks and the sweet tea wasn't sweet. Okay, I'm done...
Read moreI just wanted to to say this is a new gem of a restaurant in the Conway SC area. I went there yesterday 5/25/2018 and ordered the Combo Pho and it was absolutely delicious. It comes with sliced beef, brisket, and meatballs and beansprouts, lime wedges, mint leaves, and sliced fresh jalapenos on the side so you can add what you want. I also tried the cheese dumplings which were excellent as well. I went with two of my co-workers and they loved what they tried too. I haven't had Pho this good since the last time I went to the Vietnamese restaurant my dad took me too back in the early 90's.
If you have not tried Toyama Hibachi and Wings yet do yourself a favor and go there, I am going to become a...
