After tip this is what $50 gets you for a family of three that only drank ice-water.

I was really hoping this could be my new Dan's. I was a regular & the kind of tipper that the servers new my order but they closed down & I'm looking for a daily diner to replace them. This place failed to be my new regular. I wanted to go back for dinner to try the liver & onions but after this experience I will never go back & I do not recommend you waist your time or money here.

Atmosphere was expected. Service isn't great if the server takes advantage of you.

Food: I'm not sure why the eggs in the omelet was so white. Or why they were so tasteless. The ham tasted old, I pushed it to the side. I order the ham & cheese omelet & asked for a slight adjustment; if they can put the ham in my hasbrowns instead of in the eggs. The server said "so you want a cheese omelet" I said, "No. I'll take the ham & cheese omelet but could you do a slight adjustment & place the ham in my hasbrowns instead of in the eggs". She said yes. If she said anything about an up charge I would have just left it as is. Why am I being charged an extra $1.26 for the same meal. It's not like they cooked the ham inside of the hash browns. They just tossed some on top of them as you see in the picture. To top it off, the ham had an off taste(mabe old or left out 2 long) I pushed it to the side once I realized that bad taste was coming from the ham. The server lacked proper communication. Her objective was how much could I surcharge, that pettiness made her lose a strong tip & a new regular who knows how to tip when treated right.

I was told the waffle was dry & the other oder started hurting my daughter's stomach minutes after she ate it.

Today was my 1st time here. I wanted to come in efforts to support a local business. It was very clean and our waitress was very nice. I thought the food was lackluster, however. I ordered the chicken fried steak. I physically watched the line cook microwave my biscuit... I didn't say anything, but I was not impressed. When my meal came to the table, I was glad I ordered the sausage gravy to be put on the side. It had an offputting, gelatinous consistency. Despite that, I tasted it anyway. No flavor. People often compare concoctions like this to wallpaper paste. Honestly, that's what came to mind. It was painfully obvious that it wasn't homemade, my guess it that it comes from a can. The steak was ok. It's the same thing you'd get at any other restaurant chain, most likely frozen. I ordered my eggs over hard. The cook broke the yolk, which didn't bother me that much, but he browned it on one side so much that it was hard. My father was happy with his veggie omelet though. He had no complaints. If I do go back, I won't be ordering the CFS again, that's for sure. On the bright side, they play the oldies on the radio. So, that was really nice. Great place great service but I got my food it was a a veggie skillet supposed to come with cheese I started eating my food and it turns out it didn't have any cheese gave it back and they made my whole plate all over again I get it they didn't want my plate to look ugly is what the exact words were but I tried my food which was I was starving cuz it takes awhile to get your food and then they redo my whole plate all over again because my plate was ugly which to me was crazy because I was hungry or should I say hangry because now they made me wait longer for my food when all he had to do was put cheese on it and give it back to me I completely return my order even though my food tasted perfectly fine but it was just a big disappointment that I had to wait longer for my food after I had waited so long for it then to wait a lot longer for it I lost my appetite did not want to wait longer and just left they need to find a better way that if a customer just got their food not to make them wait longer for more food just because the the plate I would have taken a picture of my food like I normally do but I couldn't because I was very upset at the fact that I had to...
