Whitt's Barbecue — Restaurant in Cookeville

Ordered right after they opened and they missed the side of coleslaw. Mac and cheese is predictably bland just like every other BBQ place on earth.

The giant potatoes were actually quite large. So large in fact that they didn't get it cooked all the way through.

The BBQ itself was acceptable. Generic as can be, but that's not unexpected.

Service was fast. Would rather have had slower service so my order would have been filled correctly and my potato actually cooked fully.

2 stars cause the BBQ was alright, everything else sure...

Whitt's catered my wedding. The food was absolutely delicious, and Chris was very easy to work with and even went above and beyond to deliver the food himself when he did not have an available worker. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because Chris called me an hour before the food was supposed to be delivered to the venue to ask if it was alright if he could go ahead and drop it off, as he was already there, which did cause a bit of issue with the day's timeline and my schedule for getting ready. I had never eaten at a Whitt's Barbecue until this one opened in Cookeville. The funny thing is, I never order bbq from here, because I got stuck on their BBQ chickens from the beginning! I normally get a half chicken by itself. Unfortunately, most bbq places don't have side items that are worth the money to me, and this is true here as well.
