Today I visited the DQ at 987 N Arizona Blvd in Coolidge, AZ for the first time and was disappointed with my experience. I ordered two blizzards: Mint Chocolate Chip and Strawberry.
I noticed that the employee who served me did not perform the traditional upside-down turn with my Blizzard, which I later understood was due to the inadequate preparation of the dessert. When I reached home, less than a mile away from the DQ, both blizzards were poorly mixed; they were overly soft, with both having plain vanilla ice cream at the bottom, lacking the ingredients that should have been blended throughout.
In particular, the strawberry blizzard had fruit only in the top portion, rather than being evenly distributed. I've lived in Big Lake, MN, for the past 10 years and my experiences at the DQ there have always been satisfactory, with a consistent product quality which was lacking in my experience today.
It seems that there is a lack of quality control at this DQ franchise, which makes me reluctant to return. Moreover, the idea of going to greater lengths to get a properly prepared Blizzard from Casa Grande doesn't appeal to me. This unfortunate experience has led me to consider not returning to this Dairy...

Unfortunately it fell very short from a good experience! I cannot believe Tammy is your manager! Her customer service skills are awful!!! And absolutely no compassion for her customers!!!! The chocolate ice cream was not right. Full of air bubbles and so so super soft and melted all over the car. Lovely mess! I called to talk to the manager. (Which just so happens to be the person who served us this mess!) She said I was the first person to complain about it today! Said sheāll look into it. As she was about to hang up I asked for her name! Tammy then decided sheād offer a replacement on my next visit. Seriously shouldnāt that be the first thing she did after a apology!?! What kind of people do you hire to run your restaurant!!! Yuck! What a horrible experience yet again!!!! Iād rather drive to San Tan just to get decent Dairy Queen!!! You guys need to get it together!!! Like Quick!!! Seriously!!!!!! Youāre gonna loose your restaurant. Fix your chocolate ice cream machine!!!!

Lots of people standing around waiting for who knows what while it takes 20 minutes to get a small cone and a small blizzard. 2 groups of customers in front of us with 5 total items ordered. Another group of 4 came in 10 minutes after us and had their items before our small cone and blizard. Service is lousy, if you haven't picked up on that yet.
Clearly they must have one person in the back hand churning the ice cream here.
With up to 9 people standing around during our trip you'd think the store would be spotless, but it's not. You can see the shake mixer from the front and it was covered in mix. God only knows how bad the rest of the area is you cant see.
We were looking forward to this store opening but clearly it's going to take some time before we try them again. Maybe after the kids go back to school and they hire competent help.
Sonic is close. We'll keep going...
