Boulevard Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

This was my second time here. Place is very welcoming except the hostesses were rude. Came in on a Friday night for fish fry and bingo. The fish fry was horrible. Even though it's all you can eat, the fries were cold and the cod was tiny. Not worth the 10.99 price, maybe 8.99. Deep fried pickles is a MUST! I like the cheap drinks but if I want only one rail drink, I get 2 for the price of one supposedly.. I didn't like that due to people having to drink and only want one drink. Then we hung out and decided to stay for bingo. Oh my. What a terrible bingo caller. That place is very loud due to noise and the layout but to play 13 games took over 3 hours! She was always talking to the other ladies at the pull tab and other table. She laughed in the microphone multiple times. Also, the lady selling sheets, I believe her name was Char.. VERY rude! I'm sorry if she had a bad day but to snap on customers its unprofessional. Then to only have 1 lady calling and 1 selling PLUS verifying the bingos made it go even longer between games. With that big of a crowd and how loud it was, should have 2 people selling. Then when the bingo caller said someone called bingo, no one did and we'd sit there for 5 mins waiting when the seller kept selling and not looking for the bingo. Would not recommend to go there for bingo unless you wanna sit there forever! She also sounded like she was screaming into the microphone and going over the music which was horrible. We had to scream to talk to each other. I've been working in the bingo industry for over 5 years and this was the worst place to play!! But on the GOOD side, Lindsey the waitress was amazing! She was always there to ask if you wanted another, very polite and kind and if we had an issue, she fixed it to make sure we were happy. She got a very nice tip from everyone...

My coworkers and I went in for lunch today (usually about 3 times per month )and had the worst experience ever by their serving staff today. Our orders were called ahead and then were messed up and our food cold and I tried to politely address the troubles and the lovely server told us it was our fault and did nothing to make it right, instead we were argued with and menu shoved in our faces to "prove" we were wrong in her eyes. Little we had known that their menu had changed since our last visit on 2/28/2018, it changed on 3/1/2018, but Kim the server made it clear to us, that was our fault that we didn't know and it was our problem our food was wrong so she didn't feel the need to try to make their mistakes right. (We actually ordered from their website which the new menu has not been updated yet) It was also our fault they were short staffed and busy, yet 10 tables were open. Then a male patron drinkng at the bar started to threaten me and tried to kick me out. Which just topped it off. I have been a regular customer of the Boulevard since their opening and I have never had issues until today. The customer service was terrible..no apologies or no one to say hey what can we do to make it right... just blamed us for the troubles and short staffing. Not cool at all and no manager to manage this situation made it worse. Very, very disappointing and will not be returning and I will be telling all about Kim and her terrible customer service and...

I went to this bar on Saturday night excited to try it out for the first time. It was a snowy cold night but it wasn't too far to drive. Nice interior and seats with good tv viewing options. I came in to sing karaoke and started a tab with a single beer with the intention of more along with food maybe. I got up to sing with a fourth of a bottle left behind in my spot. When I got back beer was gone with no explanation or apology. He then took a while to acknowledge me and wanted to sell me a new beer. I said I just wanted my tab. Another 15 minutes go by before he remembered to get my tab. I am very generous guy but this horrible bartender earned every bit of a zero tip. Me and my money will go to your competitors. I would not recommend this place after this experience.

I tried this place again on 3/16/2019. It improved a little(drink didn't get stolen) but waitstaff still lacking in the friendly department. It is kind of ironic that my single check doesn't earn the same attention as others even though I am a good tipper. The bar even empties out for this same reason. I think I will stick with friendlier atmospheres like Magillycuddys. You can judge it...
