The Quattro Formaggi (4 cheese) pizza is on another level. I have not eaten any other pizza here, and I don't know that I ever will. If you like cheese, this is the pizza to get. You will definitely be tasting all four of them, and the price was on point, especially with their discounts that always seem to be running. It seems others have not taken a liking to some of their other toppings, but I'll never try anything else. People are right to say the sauce is a bit thin, but with four cheeses on your pizza that is not a big factor at all. Pizza is my favorite food, cheese is my favorite dairy, and this is really as good as it gets around here.
I also tried the wings, not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I got Jamaican Jerk and the smell wasn't unpleasant, but was throwing me off a little. Then I bit in and it all made sense. The flavor was a bit tangy and overall enjoyed. Hard to describe, but I'm going to buy these wings again and try another flavor, seeing as how the Jamaican was good. The wings were cooked very, very good. They were juicy and the skin was just a bit crispy. I'd say they were much better than any wings I've had here in Anoka. The price is...
Read moreAfter hearing all the hype about this place, we decided to check it out. I have to try all the pizza places in the area and eat pizza at least once a week.
Unfortunately I was extremely let down by this place. We ordered a 16" pepperoni, green pepper, onion pizza. The crust was very very dry, and the pizza sauce was almost non-existent, so it didn't help with the dry crust issue. The veggies were well cooked, but that's really the only positive thing I have to say from the pizza I just ate. I don't plan on going back here, but maybe I just need to read deeper and find out what others ordered that was actually enjoyable.
Edit I just finished reading a lot of reviews. Many people say it reminds them of $5 Pizza, another says it was good, but "the crust leaves something to be desired." Another says it was good for 50% off deal, but wouldn't return if it was full price. My question is why leave a 4 or 5 star review if it wasn't good or great?
My scale:
1 star: hated it 2 stars: didn't like it, will not return 3 stars: liked it enough to return, but nothing special 4 stars: really liked it and will return 5...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem of a place. We hadn't noticed it til we stopped for ice cream at Cullen's. Cullen's wasn't quite open so we decided to wait around a few minutes then noticed a 50% off pizza sign out on their front sidewalk and decided to grab some pizza first. The owner was so kind and accommodating to our group (which included 4 kids) as we dropped in for some pizza after a playdate. They do mostly takeout but had a few small tables so the 6 of us could sit down and eat. Their pizza was wonderful, felt unanimously by all 6 of us, including very picky kids. So fresh, with a perfect balance of cheese, wonderful sauce and medium crust. Their baklava is simply amazing, and I can't wait to try their other amazing-looking desserts like creme brulee cheesecake or four layer carrot cake. Because they had a 50% off sale happening, our large pizza was TEN dollars. Even at normal price, it would have been super reasonable for lunch for 6. We...
