Overall very cute place! Service is good and you can't really go wrong with Caribou's menu. I'm giving the food 3 stars, however, because they don't always warm their breakfast sandwiches up enough, so I've gotten completely cold ones before. The bakery items also tend to be dryer than the ones at other locations. Never order whatever drink had 1 shot of espresso mixed in with tonic water and raspberry... Please trust me it was awful. Also, the pumpkin shaken espresso was horrible, it tasted like a Michael's candle section. I'd recommend sticking to the caramel shaken espresso and some of their more conventional drinks. Atmosphere I gave 3 stars because it is very comfortable and cute inside, but the baristas throw around their dishes like it's an olympic sport 😭 I frequently go there to study and have to wear headphones because of the constant crashing noises happening behind the counter. I've worked as a barista before, so I know that this is completely unnecessary, and sometimes I wonder what's going on that constitutes such loud blender throwing. Overall it's not a bad place to study, but Dunn Brothers is 10x more peaceful and quiet. I gave service 3 stars as well because the baristas are always decent. There is one person, however, who works at this location and sometimes goes there on their days off. This would be fine if they weren't manhandling customer's drinks when they aren't even behind the counter. I stopped by after work one day to grab a few drinks to go, and this person ordered ahead of me. As I was waiting right next to the counter, my drink was put out, and before I grabbed it, they GRABBED THE DRINK, moved it to a different spot, and yelled out the name of the drink as loud as they possibly could. When their buddy/maybe-date-but-it-wasn't-going-well (I'm sorry, it wasn't) giggled and asked if they should be doing that, they shrugged and said "I work here 😌" as if that means they can do whatever they want... They also got mad at my partner one time for waiting at the wait counter?? Bruh what else are we supposed to do? You don't own the place. Please don't touch my drinks again if you...
Read moreI don't usually feel compelled to write reviews; however, I'm making the exception this time. The gypsy pregnant barista here is by far and away, and without a shadow of a doubt, the absolute worse barista I've ever seen.
We travel quite a bit and we've been to every state except a few, and to multitude of coffee shops across the nation, and we LOVE Caribou Coffee and take advantage of it every time we travel here. But also, we'd like to be treated with respect and dignity.
First off, she was behind the counter and no other customers were there, but when she saw us, she walked away from the counter to change the garbage! Then she approached the counter without washing her hands, and wouldn't even look at anyone nor say anything, just pretended nobody was there. Total disregard, no eye contact, and no Hi no thank you. Wow! Seriously?
We were a group of people and 4 orders weren't made correctly and half full. Besides my friend's coffee was burnt; cream and sugar couldn't mask the bad taste. Then no apology for her mistakes., but instead she raised her voice at two kids with us. She really needs to learn how to relax and manage her stress not to take it out on customers.
Caribou Coffee usually has calm and friendly baristas, as well as fast and courteous service. Not short tempered and incompetent one with Lack knowledge, and work ethics. As well as not capable of performing the main functions of the job.
What an unpleasant experience. This is my friends third bad experience here, so I guess it's not a fluke. My friends have refused to go there again, and I believe this will be...
Read moreFirst of all it’s very pricey. But Imma keep going so I can’t complain about that too much. Todays was my very first time ever going through a coffee drive thru place so I don’t know the rules or etiquette of the online ordering then pulling up through the drive thru.
So I ordered online for drive thru. When I pulled up to the drive thru the greeting from the worker was “Hi, there perks member? I responded “Yes” then proceeded to ask for my number and what she can help me with. I gave my number then I told her I had did a mobile order. She “okay and pull to the window.” Then she said “By the way to let you know for future you don’t have to give your perks number. You can just say you have a mobile then pull to the window.” She sounded bother like it was my fault that she asked them stupid questions and wasted her time.
So, in my mind I’m like you ASKED FOR IT THO. I’m saying these places be trying to be creative and extra on asking people “How can I help you?” If you can’t figure out of way to say that. Then just say “How can I help you.” It’s a generalized question. But when you ask a specific question you are going to get a specific response. SO FOR FUTURE just ask people “How can I help you?” Instead of “Are you a...
