Normally we have a good experiance but after today.... Came in, was not able to get a tap beer. Okay fine, ordered food gal1 rings us up does NOT give us a receipt. Gal2 asked if she can take a break, asked gal1 to make our food. 20 minutes later gal2 is back from break and no one is making our food. My dad put his hand up they realized no one was making it. They finally make it and instant attitude came out of gal2. When my dad went back to get ranch for his chicken strips and a fork for the putine we ordered gal2 lost her sh¡t apparently she couldn't handle the situation and became very rude. I asked her to calm down that there was no need to be rude. She freaked out on me, told me "if you're going to be rude just leave". Wouldn't give me her name or the name of the manager. She said I could call Bandon, she had already did. She said that the Bandon manager who hired her told us to "have a nice day". I called Bandon, no manager at either location until Sunday. So waiting to see if facerock creamery cares about their customers, and the manager calls back. I worked customer service and food my whole life, if I or any of my employees treated someone like that... they would have been terminated on spot. UPDATE: manager called me, formally apologized, said would pass down to store assistant manager. That it will be "a learning experience". And that was it. Food it self this time was poor the poutine was put into the microwave and was so hard the plastic fork couldn't even...
Read moreWe were super excited to visit this spot! We initially visited the one in Brandon but they didn’t have the fried cheese curds, and was too touristy.
So we got the friend cheese curds, pretzel sliders, and a Philly! Sounded like a win! The staff was friendly and overall very nice and attentive.
The drinks they have come from the case, they don’t have fountain drinks, which is ok ish.
The fried cheese curds came with a side of marinara, but we’re dry, for fried I’d expect them to be a little greasy. But that’s ok, however there wasn’t much flavor, not even from the garlic in the vampire slayer cheese they’re made with, and we love that cheese. Not sure what exactly caused it but the curds are lacking!
We got the sliders and Philly, and they were as greasy as I’d expect the curds to be, and again the flavor was lacking. They seemed to be a little over cooked, and too crispy. Maybe the temp was too high? The sliders are a cool idea with the pretzel bun, might need something more like tomato or onion to complete the flavor?
The Philly was ok but lacking something. Not sure where the flavor was but it wasn’t in the food! A little salt did...
Read moreGood ice cream and the girl scooping was very nice. The older woman behind the wine bar was particularly nasty though. She glared at me and my family the entire time we were there and then just plainly ignored us when we sat down at the wine bar. The entire time we were on the wine and cheese end we were ignored without any service— not even as much as a “hello” when we entered or a “thank you” when we left. My girlfriend and I are from out of the area and regularly visit Facerock in Coos whenever we are around to visit. We very much enjoy their gourmet cheeses, wines, and jams. They are great quality; that, and the nice service of the young lady serving ice cream are the only reason I didn’t give a 1 Star. Please do something about the old sourpusses there. I’ll revisit this review when we return for Xmas and see if the staff...
