Lefty's Tavern & Grille — Restaurant in Coral Springs

Rating this place was a toss-up between a 3 star and 4 star. This is the first time i visited this place, i never knew that it had a restaurant in the plaza other than McDonald's, Pasquale, and a cuban shop.

My family and i decided to eat here after buying a sneaker from one of the shops in the plaza. It was not inviting when we first walked in. That might have been our fault because i wanted to see the menu before we decided to be seated. Also, it smelled like dog or cat urine when you walk in.

I decided to still eat. In my mind, i was thinking if it smells like this inside of the dining area, we'll leave. So we were seated, and given the menus, the scent was so strong now that i told my husband and daughter for us to leave. He pointed out that the place does not smell its the menus.

Apparently, the washcloth that the hostesses were wiping the menus with was probably dirty. I did put the menus to my nose, and it was the menus that had that urine odor.

Anyways, we stayed. Our server was quite busy and got to us within 10-15 mins. When she did approach our table, she was a bit cold and standoffish. When we started placing out drinks order, we also wanted to place our appetizers, but she walked off after hearing our drinks order. So we waited another 10 minutes to get 2 glasses of water and Arnold palmer. We got it and asked her what sauce she would recommend for the wings, she told us. By now, she acted a little more pleasant. We ordered the appetizers and the main meal.

We waited about 15 - 20 minutes for the wings no one came and said anything, we are sitting there watching everyone get their meals and we are twiddling our thumbs at the table. Finally, we got the wings, which tasted really good. So we finished with the wings they came and took the bowls away and the guy was really nice.

We waited again for 15 - 20 mins for the food by this time. im not even pissed anymore because i had the wings, and it was good, so.... Our food finally came, i had the mushroom pasta with chicken, my hussy ordered a sandwich with fries, and my daughter ordered steak with veggies and fries.

My hussy sandwich was good, my daughters steak was steak (she boxed it up and jazzed it up when she came home). My mushroom pasta was really good, i dont like penne, but however that chef cooked that dish hats off to you because it was delish.

Overall, it was an ok experience for me and my family. Would we go back? I don't think so. Is it a nice place to go to after work to hang out? Yes, the ambiance is rustic and really nice and relaxed for others, not us.

Juicy, flavorful, and with all the fixings, it was exactly what I was craving. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, complementing the burger nicely. They also have a good selection of sandwiches, salads, and wings, all of which looked tempting.

Drinks: Lefty's also has a solid drink menu, with a good variety of beers on tap, including local brews, which is always a plus. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, helping me pick out a beer that went well with my meal. They also offer a selection of cocktails and wines, so there’s something for everyone.

Service: The service at Lefty's was excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food came out quickly, but we never felt rushed, which added to the relaxed, enjoyable experience. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was also on point. The dining area was clean and well-maintained, and the tables were promptly cleared and wiped down between customers. The restrooms were also clean and stocked, which is always appreciated.

My family and I have ate at this place 5-6 times, mainly because there is not many choices in NW Coral Springs and we live nearby. Food is about average but furniture needs refresh. The atmosphere is the best thing about this place. The do have decent Sports programming on many TV,s. Our most recent visit on 8/1 will be our last. My wife had ordered for take out and was told it would be 25-30 minutes. Arrived 30 minutes later to pick up order and saw there was one packaged behind the check in desk. I told the lady who was handling the check in process our name and said I had a pickup and she rudely told me they were busy and I had to wait because other staff was packaging up to go’s in the back. It was total chaos at the entrance and the manager and other staff seemed to be completely disorganized at handling customers picking up and needing to be seated. Clearly there process for this is not working. Finally standing there after waiting for 30 plus minutes and noticing one of the to go orders that was there when I first arrived had not moved I asked again about my order suspecting it was mine. Another staff member checked it and put it on the counter telling me it was my order. Now finding my food had been ready all along and was now cold I asked for the Manager. Manager came up who was the same lady I had asked about my pick up when I came in. After voicing my displeasure of waiting for nothing for 30 plus minutes the Manager says “do you want a discount?” Totally insulted as she was unapologetic I told then to keep there food and I and walked out.
