*edited after seeing this establishment's response
I was so excited to finally have a local place that makes lobster rolls. The description states "Maine claw and knuckle meat piled high". I called my order in, it was ready in about 20 minutes. Now here's the kicker, I bit into the lobster roll and it's a mix of lobster meat on the top of the roll and inside the roll, faux crab meat (pollock). Not cool. Super deceptive and not worth almost 25 dollars for a mixed seafood lobster roll. To be honest, if they had just put the truthful ingredients in the description, it wouldn't have been that bad because you know what you're getting. I hope they change their product descriptions to be more accurate. I wish them all the best moving forward.
*Added on 2/18. I would like to see this business prosper. I gain nothing from stating that the lobster roll had pollock/ imitation crab in it underneath the lobster meat. I WISH I had gotten a true lobster roll after paying the amount that I did. Clearly, in my picture, there is a pile of " non lobster" that was under the lobster meat. Furthermore, there is a similar review , from another cuatomer, stating the same disappointment on yelp. I purchase my meal on 1/3/23. Maybe your chef, on that date, decided to switch things up. 🤷🏾♀️ I will try the lobster roll again, hopefully...
Read morePlease read to the end! This is a casual restaurant. Located in a strip mall. Several tables outside for eating. Clean tables and booths inside for dining. Take out and online ordering available.
First time here.
The staff was exceptional...thanks Matthew! Very courteous and helpful.
Grouper sandwich with coleslaw as my side. The grouper was fresh and tasty. Grilled to perfection. Definitely would order it again.
The fountain soda was reminiscent of days of old....taste crisp and defined with the right amount of effervescence. (So tired of flat tasting soda.) Free refills.
Plenty of parking. Prices reasonable.
Update: I saw your reply. Thank you. You are right. I very much enjoyed my meal and experience at the Fish Joint. Food and drink was great! The inside was immaculate. The customer service superb! And in the casual restaurant category you are a 5 star. But, I usually give 5 's when food, service, convenience, parking, price and AMBIANCE are compelling. There is nothing at all wrong with your environment. It is as it supposed to be , casual and clean. However, I would not come to your restaurant for a romantic seafood dinner by the water. That environment is a 5 star to me. That is why I gave the 4 star. However, I am glad to change to a 5 star for a casual restaurant...
Read moreSo this was my first time coming here.. when walking in there was no greeting, nobody in line in front of us, and maybe 3 tables with people eating. So the girl at the register looked as if she wanted to be anywhere other than at this job, she looked miserable and bored out of her mind, she wasn’t rude by any means but it was definitely bare minimum service. We decided we would order to go, we got the steamed mussels (solid no issues), shrimp and grits (shrimp was overcooked, mainly because they use the smallest shrimp for this but the grits were pretty good), and lastly we got the fried trifecta. The cod was overcooked and dry, the hush puppies were raw on the inside, clam strips were more like clam crumbs, and they forgot my coleslaw (you get two sides plus hush puppies with the trifecta. I received the fries which are a weird chip/fry hybrid and the hushpuppies).
This is a fast casual seafood spot and there was nothing fast about it since we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food (other people came after yet recieved their food first) overall it was a disappointing experience for something that seemed to have so...
