Went there with a shopping cart with huge bow with 4 sealed cases of beer just to give as a birthday present to a beer-loving friend having a party. Man outside said “YOU ARE NOT BRINGING THAT INTO MY PLACE.” I tried to explain a few times but he never let me finish a full sentence that we just were doing it to make someone smile and would not open any & be putting it right into his truck after. He got more rude and louder. My Husband went in to find birthday boy and bring him outside. Owner now barked: YOU ARE NOW BLOCKING MY DOOR! He yelled at me in front of others. I went to move heavy cart forward to turn cart around because not enough room between wall and door- so when birthday boy came out I’d be pointed in right direction to go into parking lot NOT INTO BAR & put gift in his truck. When I got turned around I stopped politely NOT TO BLOCK DOOR but to allow THE person coming OUT ability to fully open door. Because I stopped— owner came flying back to door from inside yelling again “YOU ARE STILL BLOCKING MY DOOR AND NOW YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!” Seriously?? For trying to surprise someone with a gift we thought would make him laugh?? I’ve been there once for the mayors birthday. Been a very respectful and respectable member of community & business owner for 30 YEARS, chamber chair for 2 different chambers over 12 years, CHARITY fundraiser and kept my cool & NEVER YELLED BACK. Actually I never did anything but try to respectfully explain — and move to the side until our friend came out—and this is how he speaks to not just me who he didn’t know, but any patron? He treated me so disrespectfully —even his worker was surprised explaining to my friend that he thought a misunderstanding—as were other patrons who witnessed it —TWO of whom CAME OVER TO CONSOLE ME - one rolling their eyes the other saying that he’s “normally” not like that — seeing how visibly upset I was. STILL IN SHOCK, “NOW YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE?!” BECAUSE I DIDN’T MOVE FAR ENOUGH AWAY FAST ENOUGH? Our friends asked us a few times to stay. How could anyone stay even for a loved friend when you are treated so badly?! We left, Would NEVER GO BACK. No excuse for such...

Atmosphere: The first thing you notice at Sharky’s is the easygoing, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t take itself too seriously—think sports bar meets family-friendly dining. There are plenty of TVs, making it a go-to spot for catching the game, but it’s also comfortable enough to bring the whole family. The outdoor seating is a nice touch, especially on cooler evenings when you want to enjoy the fresh air.
Menu: Sharky’s offers a variety of American classics, with a focus on seafood and grill items. The fish tacos are a standout, with fresh, flaky fish and a nice balance of flavors. I also tried their burgers, which were juicy and cooked just right. The wings are another highlight—crispy and flavorful, with a range of sauces to choose from. The menu isn’t overly complicated, which is part of its charm; they stick to what they know, and they do it well.

Read moreSharkey's Bar and Grill is a game-changer in Coral Springs. Toss out any preconceived notions you have about smoky, uninspiring sports bars—this place is anything but that. A clean, smoke-free interior welcomes you, defying the old-school sports bar reputation it once had. Sharkey's has evolved into a modern establishment that serves more than just alcohol; it's a true sports pub, offering a diverse menu that'll please even the pickiest foodie.
The food here goes far beyond the usual bar fare. Expect to find mouth-watering 8-ounce burgers cooked to your exact specifications—I recommend the patty melt, an irresistible combo of cheese, cooked onions, and buttered rye bread. The wings are another surprise; don't miss the unique 'Richie' blend of honey teriyaki and minced garlic buffalo sauce, a perfect balance of tangy and sweet. For the brave, the 'Florida Man's Lunacy' wings pack a punch with local Carolina Reaper-based hot sauce.
Aside from wings and burgers, the New England Clam Chowder is a must-try—creamy, briny, and punctuated by smoky bacon. The Buffalo Shrimp also steal the show, crispy and lightly tossed in hot sauce.
But it's not just the food that stands out. The drink game at Sharkey's is equally impressive. You'll find premium spirits like Tanqueray and Hendrick's even during their reasonably priced happy hour. I loved the expertly mixed dirty martini, while my wife's Tequila Sunrise was a refreshing, well-poured delight.
If you're still not convinced, the atmosphere should seal the deal. A stage for live bands and plenty of flat-screen TVs create a lively environment for sports fans and music lovers alike. Plus, the outdoor patio area caters to smokers and is pet-friendly, while ensuring no smoke...
