First I want to say, I'm so glad to see this kind of restaurant being established in a small town like ours. My husband and I love going to classy restaurants. We also travel alot and taste alot of different kinds of food and experience alot of different atmospheres in restaurants all over the place. We absolutely love Italian. We found this place by Googling and wanted to try it because we didn't even know it was there honestly. Upon walking in, the establishment is nice and the atmosphere is cozy and family friendly. The waiter we had was very nice. However, our order was taking so long. The tables on both sides of us had came in after us, seated, looked over menu, ordered, received their meal, eaten, socialized, finished their meal, received their ticket and were done. I was beginning to wonder if they had to go duck hunting for my Maple Glazed Duck Breast. Our waiter never gave us a reason as to the hold up. It's a good thing the salads held us over. Our food finally arrived but to my astonishment it honestly looked like something I could have cooked at home. The duck breast should have been aged and there was no hint of jalapeño in it whatsoever. Just looked like a fresh cranberry sauce with only a slight hint of maple in it. The waiter put in my order wrong seeing though he asked me the sides I wanted and he still had to bring another out because he admitted he forgot what I had said. The flavors were actually bland. The portions were not scaled right according to the prices. I was really trying to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. The duck breast plate sounded perfect to do this. I am no culinary artist but like I said, I could have just as well prepared this meal myself. My husband's plate was small portioned as well. Expected a bigger plate for what he ordered. The shrimp were like the size of something you could get in a bag at the grocery store. It didn't stand out exquisitely like the menu made it out to be. The plating should be presented better like in a fancy culinary restaurant. You're getting there, it just needs more work. I watched plates go by us and thought to myself, it could be plated and presented better than paper lining on some plates. Even Hamburger plates. Presentation, portions and price needs to all match. Culinary skills need to be upped a little. Either prices need to go down a little or portions upped to match. Alot of plates looked really nice, some could have been better. The sides need some work. If I can make them at home, then you're not on your game for this to be an exceptional culinary experience. All in all, it was great but just needs tweeked a little. Like I said, we eat at alot of places in all states, and we've seen, tasted and experienced alot of different places and things. We may be back, we may not. It all depends. Hope some of these tips helps.

We moved here from the West Coast 7 months ago. We are total foodies and my husband is an outstanding cook. We really enjoy going out to eat. We still have not found a restaurant in our area that has been noteworthy. Today was the 36th anniversary of our first date. We heard that THIS was the place to eat and were super excited! Our service was outstanding. Atmosphere is great. The decor was unique. We liked the high booths for privacy. Parking was easy to find. Lighting was perfect. The Quail appetizer was the best thing we ate. It was quite delicious. The concept of the menu items sounded wonderful, but in reality, very disappointing. This was mediocre food for a very high price tag. I know inflation is a very real issue. Supply chain factors were also considered, but it is hard for me to wrap my mind around paying these kind of prices for cold Eggplant Parmesan and Bananas Foster that still had brown sugar chunks in it- almost no caramelization! To be fair, we did not tell our server this. The side salad with lime cilantro vinaigrette was fresh and my favorite part of the meal, besides the quail. The Greek Steak Fettuccine tasted good, but for being in the peak of tomato season the tomatoes were VERY unripe. For an aglio olio sauce, it had no garlic flavor. The serving was quite small for the price tag. The wine was okay, expensive, and the serving small. Culinary skills definitely need some refreshing. It makes us sad that there really isn’t a nice restaurant in our area that has it all- memorable atmosphere, great service, AND AMAZING food.

Vicari is one of the best restaurants in Mississippi and the southeast! Fresh, quality ingredients. Excellent service. Amazing atmosphere. No complaints. First the restaurant is located in a historic building in downtown Corinth. It’s throw-back, but swanky chic. Nice, clean and a true gem. Appetizers this night were the lobster shooters, stuffed mushrooms and the special, bourbon glazed pork belly bites! The lobster shooters had a chunk of sweet, tender lobster with a savory, spicy sauce. The mushrooms were “better than any mushroom has ever tasted.” And the pork belly bites were sweet, savory, meaty and hit the spot. The “crown” bread were rolls, fresh baked, served with seasoned olive oil for dipping. Add a shake of salt to elevate it. Entrees were prime rib with au jus and Chop house potatoes. All excellent! Lamb chop lollipops with caramelized carrots w balsamic, bleu cheese has brown potatoes and crispy asparagus. The lamb was perfect. The carrots added the perfect sweetness. The hashbrowns were surprisingly good especially in light that I’m not a fan of bleu cheese. The asparagus was regular. Finished with the tiramisu. Best tiramisu ever! Good drinks, unique cocktails, adequate beer and wine list. This place is not cheap, but it’s worth it. Go eat here. You will not be disappointed.

My family and I were here for my uncle's birthday and everything was going great as usual, until we realized it was taking exceptionally longer than usual, but no worries. So we receive our food and everything is looking good until my father realizes that his steak is over cooked as he had ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well (there was no trace of pink anywhere). We had also noticed that the steak was significantly thin. Massive issue when you're a "steakhouse" selling steaks for a very premium price. Again no worries, everyone agreed we'll just send it back. So it goes back to the kitchen and just a few minutes later the chef/owner approaches our table and had the nerve to tell my father, "the steak that I have provided was cooked to a perfect medium rare and that we were wrong for sending it back!" UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD A CUSTOMER EVER BE TREATED THIS WAY! Even if the customer is in the wrong. and there's nothing wrong with sending a overcooked steak back. Clearly this individuals pride had taken a huge blow and has no idea how to handle criticism maturely. I honestly have no idea how the whole table kept its composure, as everyone was on the edge of their seat after that pathetic display of ownership of a restaurant. Needless to say, everyone was extremely aggravated and it completely ruined the night, as we all could not stop thinking about the sad fact that the head chef was the owner and he had no one to answer to and no one could do anything about it. That was unacceptable.

So to sum up everything, if you want a chef/owner to cook your food, that clearly lacks maturity, then you are at the right place! And if your steak comes out cooked incorrectly, rest assured the chef won't waste the opportunity to humiliate himself and compromise the...

I have first brag on the hosts. The two gentlemen that greeted us at the door were professional, courteous, and well presented. They set the tone for the entire dining experience like a proper host or hostess should. It cannot be understated how important and impactful they were to the experience.

My wife and I ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and the chateuabriand for two. Everything was cooked to perfection. The meat was a perfect medium rare and well seasoned. The borderlaise was the perfect compliment to it. The chopped potatoes were absolutely divine. I especially appreciated the asparagus. The cook was not afraid at all to season with his or her soul. The asparagus had a crisp bite and just the right amount of salt. And by the right amount of salt, I mean PLENTY of salt. One of my biggest gripes about restaurants is when the cook acts like salt is dangerous or something to be used sparingly. You do not have to worry about that here! The bleu cheese hash browns were also wonderful.

This place is truly a treasure. In an area of Mississippi that is certainly not known for good Italian-inspired food, this place stands out as an ideal treat. Do not hesitate to go there and order off of the chef's menu. You will not be disappointed!

If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to fix the piano in the foyer. It has so much potential to elevate the experience if you had a good quality instrument and a professional pianist playing some light jazz as people walk in. That would be such a treat and make an already high class experience feel transcendent. Think about it,...
