Kristy's Donuts & Sandwiches — Restaurant in Corona

This morning I arrived at this Donut Shop at around 9:50 am with my six-year-old grandson. There was no customer in the store. An Asian female associate was standing behind the donut case area. The lady looked at us but did not say anything. A minute later a female Hispanic customer came in. The Asian associate greeted this customer with a smile saying, “Hello, welcome.” We ordered a donut, a jalapeno cream and cream cheese bagel, a small coffee, and a small bottle of Sunny D juice. I paid $9.90. As she finished with the transaction I asked her a change for one dollar. Grandson wanted to use the Bubble gum machine next door. The lady rudely said that she was short of change, turned around, and walked away from the cash register area. While I was waiting for my Bagel, two other customers came in, a caucasian man with an Amazon Prime jacket and a young African American man. Both these customers were greeted by the female associate in a very friendly manner. When my bagel order was ready, the lady called out the item and placed it on the counter. She did not thank me or say a single word.

I also observed that when the customers were leaving the associate was telling them, bye, but did not say anything when we left the store.

I felt that I was discriminated against by this associate for several reasons. One because of my age, I am 73 years old, second, because of my dark brown skin color, and third because I was from India and she was, perhaps, from a nearby country. In any case, I will not visit this shop again. I have lived in the neighborhood for more than forty years and I will let my friends and neighbors know about this...

One staff member was okay and the other was very rude. Mexican lady who didn’t seem like she cared to help me. I just moved in the area and was looking for a new breakfast spot. Ordered a breakfast sandwich which they charged for any changes. Was pretty disappointed with the sandwich. Was suppose to be a breakfast sandwich but hardly had anything in it. Ordered a medium coffee which had no flavor. Had to pay 10 cents for ever creamer i asked for. If you do not have cash, be prepared to get charged an extra 75 cents on top of your order. Flies everywhere. One staff member was actively hitting them with a fly swatter. I was surprised to see the high reviews of this place after visiting. I’ll be sure to check the next...

we have visited this donut shop a few times the past couple of months and haven't had an issue. there are always plenty of donuts and the coffee is always fresh and ready to be served. there are often visits we make when its just a cup or two of coffee we need and they have it ready to go. i've also had their donuts a few visits and they taste good as expected. this is a normal donut shop so come with reasonable expectations and you will be pleased. i would also note that the staff have been kind when we order, good prices on items and there is also plenty of parking available in this...
