I placed an order at the drive thru for just a quesadilla. 10AM, no lunch or breakfast rush. I sat in my truck for 23 minutes and not once did they open the window or acknowledge me at all. Didn't even come to take my payment. Employees came in and out to take out trash and saw me there. After 17 minutes I honked once to get their attention. About a minute later someone approached the window, looked at me for a second and then walked away. I drove out of the drive thru and parked and went inside to speak with someone. I stood at the front counter where a person was sorting receipts. Three other servers walked by and would not look at me. I stood no less than four minutes trying to get someone's attention politely before I had enough. I gave up and left. They were not busy with customers and had plenty of staff this morning. They made it clear that I was invisible and that I didn't deserve to have any lunch on my break from work. I will NEVER attempt to do business here again. They do not care about their customers at all. I guess if you don't come and sit down and expect to wait more than 30 minutes before they acknowledge your presence. I am not exaggerating either, I timed this. I made my order at 10:13, waited at drive thru until 10:34. Went inside and finally left at 10:40. 35 minutes of my hour lunch break gone and I left empty handed and ignored. Folks if you need to eat brunch anywhere quick, look elsewhere. Hacienda over off Staples or the place at McArdle and Airline will take much better...
Read moreThis is one of my rare non-praises, but aligns with several Reviewer opinions. Service: From the start, a younger waitress took someones order who walked in and sat after me. She came back to bring the drinks then beelined back to staff area while two guys (owners/managers?) with headsets chatted undistracted at the bar area. I supposed their duty was to welcome all guests with "Anywhere you like please". Another waitress saw how the younger waitress didn't work my table, glared at her, then bought a menu and took my drink order. A third waitress bright my drinks and asked if I was ready to order - I kindly informed her that I was just handed the menu and would need a few minutes. After the first 3 waitresses came to my table, a waitress named NUBIA took my order and tended to be my dining needs from that point forward. NUBIA is a seasoned professional that obviously needs to be modeled by her peers. Food: Cheese on enchiladas was either American or mild cheddar, which are not my faves. Chips and salsa are commendable. Suggestion: Management, train your wait staff to scan the dining area, as this seems to be a common grievance in the Reviews. If you don't assign zones or tables maybe you should as there's a lot of time being wasted here. Today there were plenty of servers scheduled so that doesn't seem to be the issue. Food was meh so this is my first and only visit to Casa Vieja. Your interior looks great - I was anticipating a finer...
Read moreWe have really enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant over the past few years. However, recently it is hit or miss with the food and the service has become consistently horrible, especially from the cashier. There is always a credit card service charge added to our ticket, even though we are paying cash. The cashier appears to get irritated when we ask to see our ticket so we can split the check accordingly.
Last night will be my last time to visit this restaurant. We were mistakenly served club soda rather than water. An innocent mistake, someone pushed the wrong button on the dispenser. Three of my party decided to accept the club soda but one in my party did not want to drink club soda, they wanted a glass of water. I asked the waitress, who had the cashier along with her as an interpreter, if we could get one glass of water and the cashier said “we don’t have water.” Thinking perhaps it was just a communication problem I pursued a little further and she continued to let me know that they have no water and we could have Coca-Cola or Sprite but no water.
I guess they wash the dishes...
