This is the story of the first time I met Francisco. It had been a rough day. I was bestowed double my normal job duties without warning after only having 4 hours of sleep... Current mood was you and your mother and your dog can catch these hands because I have no chill right now. I use chai with a bit of espresso as a little pick me up when my corporate life starves me for sleep.. but Starbucks does not posses the necessary appurtenance to sufficiently supply my peculiar coffee needs.
Upon walking in I was on edge and expecting my drink order to be made wrong as usual since til this day no one has gotten it right.
There was a glorious man behind the counter that changed my whole day. I ordered my usual a medium iced light ice almond milk chai latte with one shot of espresso 2 pumps vanilla, 2 pumps of cinnamon and 3 pumps or marshmallow flavoring. Until the dawn of March 25th mistakes have been made with this drink. The flavoring is not properly mixed, too much ice, wrong milk, missing flavoring, pockets of chai powder not dissolved into the milk... When my beautiful Frankenstein latte was presented to me by this young man and I took the first sip my poor overworked spirit and in general emotional despair was exercised from my body... every thing was blended ice was just enough to cool but not water down the drink, flavoring was perfect.. I feel as though I received a pick me up hug from the gentrified coffee gods. I left behind a single dollar and pranced my way to my car like a refreshed kindergarten child.
In short if you want a perfectionist working on your coffee you must get Francisco to seduce your cup and finesse it into a liquid creature from the heavens.. Francisco..you made...
Read moreCoffee Waves has always held a special place in my heart. We used to visit the Port Aransas location all the time, so when we saw the Corpus Christi spot while on vacation with our three kids, we were excited to stop by and support a place we love.
Unfortunately, the experience didnât live up to those past memories. The two baristas working that morning didnât acknowledge us when we walked in, didnât greet us, and spent most of the time talking amongst themselves. When I politely asked how much longer our sandwiches would take (after they had been in the press for about 7 minutes), I was met with a look of frustrationâas if I was bothering them just by asking.
We left without a single âthank youâ or âhave a good day.â The lack of basic customer service made it hard to justify staying longer or spending more, especially with our kids in tow. I didnât even end up ordering a coffee, which says a lot, since I was really looking forward to one.
Itâs disappointing, because this place has meant something to us in the pastâbut based on todayâs experience, Iâll be grabbing my...
Read moreGreat place I always enjoy coming here. It's my home work spot so I am here often. Drinks are great I always try something different every time I go. I'm usually there in the evenings and the staff is just so friendly! I do have one thing I was bummed about. I went on a Saturday morning so as you can expect place was packed and I asked if I could use conference room. Since there was no place for me to sit. I was told I had to pay to sit in there $20 an hour đ so I just stood around for a bit to wait for a table to become free. Like I said I come often and in past times I've seen customers go and ask to use the room and we're giving permission right away. So that was unfortunate. But overall...
