Horrible, experience. If I could give it a negative star, I would. I went there several years ago with my disabled son. We were waiting for a friend; we had ordered food and drinks, and my son was eating. My friend was coming from her grandmother’s memorial service, and she was delayed. My son was still eating, and a waitstaff noticed we had been there for about an hour, and he KICKED us off the table. Kicked us off the table. That’s right. He told us we were not allowed to sit there any longer. I asked why, and he said there were too many people waiting. I told him my friend was coming and was going to order more food and drinks and that my son was still eating. He told us to go to the waiting area with a takeout box. I wanted to leave so badly at that point, but I had to help my son go to the bathroom and try and explain to him why we were being kicked out. My son is severely autistic and has ADHD and a language disorder, and I also have autism, so I was in sensory overload as was my son, and we were both about to have melt downs. To be kicked off our table after paying for overly priced horrible food was insulting and very hard (especially with our autistic sense of justice) to understand. My son did not understand, and I did not either. Thankfully, my neurotypical friend showed up and ordered, and we found the same table no one had wanted even though we had been kicked off of it for other customers. I told my friend what happened, and she made it a point to order a bunch of stuff and take hours to piss of the jerk who had kicked us off the table. I told my parents about it who had up until that point supported that business, and they vowed never to go there again. If you value autistic children, disabled children or people— in general —do not support Hester’s...
Read moreI stopped by today and got a sandwich, crab burger, and rainforest smoothie. For the price point, it's over priced even for an all natural ingredients. The taste was bland for all three and their usual on the side salad. The customer service was horrible from the cashiers and the manager. This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to food-wise and for its immature and plain mean customer service of all places I've been to in the United States. Going to this place was like going to a car dealership and dealing with their deception. I think people rave about this place more for its ambiance than anything else but save your money because all natural food should tasted good and it should actually taste like food!
This is not my first time at Hester but it will be my last at this location. I can't imagine going back with the horrible customer experience I had today. This location is terrible with the food menu like their Carmen pasta was really weird. Their sweets are loaded with masses of sugar. It's funny how they serve healthy food then they serve really unhealthy treats on the side; it's definitely a temptation if you want to stay healthy and fit. And I see other people ordering desserts too. It's definitely mind numbing when you go there because you don't really think if it's good for you, you just look at what looks good. But other locations has more tastier food items on their menu like their fairchild sandwhich and I had a decent experience there.
Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews. It's just people who are friends of the business and do it to build good rapport rather than give their actual honest opinions that would...
Read moreStaff was very friendly and helpful. Their bakery is good, I recommend their glazed cinnamon buns and their cupcakes, simply delicious! I can't say the same about their coffee and espresso, though. Simply not good, so that is a downsize of this place. Maybe this could be one of the areas that they can improve soon. On regards social distancing, there were no measures in place, besides some of the customers using masks (their employees used them all the time). The place was packed and understaffed around 9:00AM, but still a nice environment, considering that there is some shared outdoor space. Pets are welcome at this shared space. Place is a little bit overpriced. To-go orders use aluminum which could be dangerous for consumption, specially in the Omelet. It sticked to the food and it broke easily, so I spent my entire breakfast dealing with it making sure to recover the small pieces that were adhered to my food. Apart from that, some of their packing was not recyclable. So, they are not very green friendly on that side, at least with the to-go orders. I would recommend them to use more environmental friendly packing in the future.
For the rest, I think this is a great place for bakery and I look forward to come in another moment to check if they made improvements with their customer experience! Thank you...
