The young lady working the counter was very nice, smiled the whole time, very courteous and polite. The food was decent, but small, and the beans were so watery you had to eat them with a spoon, which was also difficult because they had way too much oil in them. The young lady forgot to pack my bread and forgot to give us napkins, and gave us only two ketchup packets for two people and two plates. They also should do something about the many people loitering in the parking lot, it is private property and they should be more aggressive about the solicitors. The owner, Dora Ponce, and her daughter Kaitlyn, always greet you with a smile, as well as all the staff who serve, treating their customers very well. My waitress, Silvia, was attentive and helped me with whatever I needed, and even helped me order an extra Fajitas plate to take home to my wife.

From the gorditas to the shrimp diablo you can't go wrong at this friendly Leopard St. eatery. I believe the name La Costenita translates to "little beach girl". Started eating here about 15 years ago and since then La Costenita has become my favorite Mexican food restaurant.
