Luciano's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

I am giving 2 stars to this restaurant only because the quality of service and the food was decent. However, I must express high dissatisfaction with this place. I had a reservation on a Friday evening, which went well. I woke up the following morning with a sore throat, which I determined could possibly be caused by the change of weather. My sore throat continued to worsen for several days, until yesterday morning on Tuesday when I woke up and felt even worse. I went to the doctor first thing Tuesday morning and was tested for strep throat which came back negative but I tested positive for a bacterial infection in my throat. The only logical explanation that I could fathom for days was that I contracted something from the fork or wine glass that I used, given that I had no other symptoms other than a sore throat. I just called the restaurant to inform the manager of my situation in a polite and professional manner, and his only response to me after giving my explanation was, "Okay thanks." I went into further detail and explained politely that he has a responsibility as a manager to ensure that the kitchen staff is properly sterilizing their dishware, which clearly isn't happening. Again, his extremely unconcerned response was "Okay thanks." I did not even ask for a refund; I simply wanted to inform management that utensils ere not properly being washed (peak of flu season). I would only recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food. However, I highly suggest that if you plan on eating here, take plastic utensils with you to avoid the unfortunate situation...

THE BEST MEETING ROOM VENUE & ITALIAN FOOD IN TOWN!! I recently held a business luncheon in the meeting room which was a great set up and spacious. George, the manager/owner was very professional and helpful with coordinating the ordering of such a large group and always checked in to see if there was anything else we needed. The deposit to hold the room was ultra reasonable. Our assigned waitstaff, I would like to say they are customer service specialists, David & Marcus. They were so attentive, professional and were dedicated to making dining at the restaurant more of an "experience". Heard great things from our attendees on the food selections, the big hit was the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. I ordered the Chicken Florentine to-go and it was spectacular. The waitstaff served the meal during the presentation and were so smooth and quiet, there were zero disruptions. I usually have anxiety with the level of service that we are going to receive from a venue and this did not even cross my mind knowing that George, David & Marcus were so committed on providing the highest level of customer service. I highly recommend dining at this venue and if you are looking to hold a luncheon or event, its perfect. The only suggestion is bring a projector, no need for a screen, you can project right on the wall. If you are presenting, bring a wireless microphone in case of a loud lunch or...

For our 2 year anniversary we ventured out to a new Italian restaurant we haven't been before. This place was a great gem. GET the garlic bread it's so good and great price (4 Dollars). It did take like 15 mins, but it's made from scratch. The restaurant is not about getting your food fast and you out. It's about enjoying a good date night talking to your partner and the food comes when it's ready. Main entrees took about another 15-20 mins after the bread. They have a nice selection of wine too. Lamb chops are a hot commodity and luckily they had still stocked as the waitress said they might have been sold out. Lamb chops were 9/10. Lamb was very good and wasn't gamy. Vegetable seasoned well sadly potato portion was a little bland. My Fiance got the chicken Alfredo and it was delicious she thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't get dessert this time but we will definitely be back. The tiramsu another table ordered looked really good though. If you're looking for a nice evening dinner or a date night spot this is the place. Just remember to enjoy the company you are with and the time will fly and you will receive your food...
