Mamako Cafe — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Not only was the dessert cute looking (which basically was what attracted me) but it actually tastes pretty darn good! I was surprised because I had low expectations, when it came to flavor, since I was coming for the novelty of the characters. I got the Pikachu (mango) and hello kitty (vanilla). I was blown away. To say I loved it was an understatement. You can tell the ice cream is homemade and the flavor is so rich but not in an overwhelming sugary way. It tastes natural and not at all overbearingly sugarly like most places make it! It has just the right amount for the taste to actually hit you in a pleasantly delightful way. I really enjoyed their ice cream. We also ordered a Nutella filled fish cake which we've had before in other places. I kinda judges it a bit cause it wasn't aesthetically perfect but it was so good. We were out in an about and stumbled upon this gem, they haven’t officially opened but they still welcomed us in with open arms. First customers is what we were and every single item we tried was amazing, the Nutella tatami taste like a pastry heaven. The ice cream boba was creamy and amazing. The matcha iced was so perfectly sweetened. And the iced macchiato is like no other, I’ve never been a fan but this one I couldn’t quit sipping on. They have the best ice cream cones aswell designed after our favorite Japanese characters! The owners are amazing and the sweetest, the atmosphere is 100/10 and it’s so cutesy inside the store...

Cute store front, lots of business. Got a coffee matcha latte unsweetened, it was okay to say the least, just tasted like espresso grounds with a hint of matcha and watery, which given its made with whole milk a bit surprising it tasted watery. The taiyaki had sugar brushed on the outside and was really crispy with the ham and cheese and there was only one slice of ham on the inside.
