Took my wife here last night. She's a big ramen fan, I'm neither here nor there on high dollar soup but she had been craving some so off we went to Ninja Ramen.
We got there around 8:30 on a Friday night, it's in Windchase shopping center which does feel a little creepy in the dark, but once we got inside we saw a bright and well lit restaurant that was about 75% full of people.
We were greeted and sat by a hostess/server within a few seconds and our drink orders and appetizers were in in about 3 minutes.
This was my first time at Ninja Ramen so their menu was a bit intimidating, many many choices of ramen, appetizers and entrees. Unless you have a specific thing you are coming for, be prepared to spend some serious time studying that menu, it's kind of overwhelming!
I went with the namesake Ninja Ramen and my wife got the teriyaki ramen.
Our appetizers arrived quickly and were hot and fresh. The food got there within 10 minutes of ordering it though mine was delayed by an extra two minutes for some reason.
The food: It's kinda hard for me to judge the quality of the ramen without out any reference point. It was good, if maybe a tiny bit bland. I actually think it may have needed some salt? It was well prepared and the noodles were very good, it's just that the ninja ramen came with a big ole slab of a crispy fries chicken patty in the bowl that took some effort to eat, in fact I had to request a knife to get it down in size. So I wasn't blown away with that particular ramen which leads me to think I will have to go back and try other things on the menu until I find my signature dish.
My wife loved her teriyaki ramen so I'm a bit jealous.
Don't let my meh experience deter you from Ninja Ramen. While that particular ramen wasn't my thing, the great service and colorful interior space will have me coming back for more, that's for sure. We need more restaurants like this in Corpus Christi, places willing to take a chance that deliver on great service and colorful settings and not common foods.
It's worth your time,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ninja Ramen and Thai with my wife and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! We both tried different types of ramen and we were blown away by the flavor and attention to detail in every dish.
I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, which was out of this world! The broth was rich and creamy, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The spicy kick added a nice touch without overpowering the other flavors. I especially loved the tender slices of pork that were generously added to the bowl. It was truly a bowl of heaven!
My wife had the Kimchi Ramen, which she raved about for days after our visit. The kimchi added a nice tangy flavor that perfectly complemented the rich broth. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the vegetables added a nice crunch to the dish. It was a great balance of spicy and sour, making it a must-try for anyone who loves kimchi!
We also tried the chicken gyoza and were impressed with how well it was executed. The gyoza was perfectly crispy on the outside and the chicken filling was juicy and flavorful. But what really took it to another level was the sauce that came with it. It was the perfect blend of savory and sweet, making it a great complement to the gyoza.
Overall, I would highly recommend Ninja Ramen and Thai to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic ramen experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. I can't wait to go back and try...
Read moreItis a good size of a place and I love the ambience, work of Art in the wall it has a good Asian appeal a fusion of Japanese and Thai. I see more of Japanese influence in the theme.
Going to the food, it is really subjective. The food that I love and would recommend were the steamed Bun, pork on stick, Takoyaki . With regards to the other delicacy that we ordered such as the
Misu Ramen - the pork meat was a little hard and the soup 🍲 would need more salt ( the reason why I said is subjective, some would like less salt and vice versa) Siomai would also need salt and additional spice to perk up the taste The fried rice is not the typical Japanese sticky rice, and using a stick would be a little challenge. The taste is okay but I would go back to adding a little salt.
The rest were superb, takoyaki tasted like that when I was in Tokyo. Pork stick is soft and the flavor is stupendous.
The best thing that I liked ND my kids was the coconut ice cream. I can taste the coconut with the coconut fiber.
I forgot to order pad Thai though. I was also expecting some Thai art. Maybe a muay Thai warrior vs a ninja 😀
All in all a great experience.clean presentable with awesome customer service. I would...
