The food was very good. The prices were reasonable, and I especially enjoyed the fact that they had lunch and dinner specials. The portion for the dinner special is smaller than a normal entree, but still very generous. I was able to save half of my fried rice and entree for the next day. The size of regular entrees is almost twice that of what you get with the dinner special and it seems to have come with a carton of white rice which was appreciated. They sell a diverse variety of Chinese food classics along with some chef specials and even wings. Below were the things my family had ordered and what was thought of each:
Appetizers - Fried Crab Rangoons: Tasty, but not enough filling. Inside was mostly air. 2/5 Fried Dumplings: Excellent. The sauce was great and the edges stayed crispy even after delivery in Styrofoam containers. 5/5
Dinner Special - Beef with Garlic Sauce: Awesome. Great flavor and the meat was lean. It had mushrooms and water chestnuts which I didn't like, but the flavor was so good, I would probably get it again anyway. 5/5 Fried Rice: Tasted very good and not overly greasy or fake tasting. 4/5 Hot and Sour Soup: Very good. The flavor was just right. And they didn't skimp on the amount, either. There was plenty. 5/5
Entrees - Sweet and Sour Chicken: The outsides were not crispy, but the meat was very lean. We had it delivered, so it may be different in sit-in with regards to crispiness. 5/5 Chicken Fried Rice: Generous amounts of chicken in the rice, and it was very lean and delicious. You could tell the veggies were frozen, and it could have had a bit more egg, but overall good.. 4/5 Garlic Pepper Wings: The mean was lean as well, and the flavor was great. They were dry, however. 3/5
Overall a wonderful experience. It was our first time trying it, and some things were a bit of a hit or miss. But we will definitely be returning...
Read moreUpdates on new food below: I believe most people that are complaining about this place just complain to complain. This place is by far the best place to get fast food chinese. This is the (Sweet & Sour Chicken Plate) it's a regular plate in the picture that you get from other restraunts. Most of their stuff has actual flavor, especially the Lomain. Some of these other restraunts have some bland food and this is my top pick every time for fast food chinese.
(Chicken Mei Fun & Honey Chicken.) Honestly, both are a great dish. The Mei Fun is a meal for an average individual with leftovers. The Honey Chicken, on the other hand, gave a sweet taste along with the Mei Fun. Both had good size Chicken bites. Be sure to stir the Mei Fun before eating and ask for sweet and sour sauce, extra soy sauce as well.
(Singapore Mei Fun, Orange Chicken & Taro Creamy Tea Latte.) The drinks are new and very good. The Singaport Mei Fun has a slight spicey taste, but once it's cooled down, the spices cool down as well. I did add a side of dumpling sauce in it for a mild sweet taste along with the red meat being sweet as well. This is definitely a good plate. I would add extra red meat and shrimp along with the dumpling sauce and then stir really well. The orange chicken is nice as well witha lott of sauce. Be sure to flip before eating because the sauce is in the bottom.
^^^Update on the Singapore Mei Fun ^^^ Extra pork 10/10 remember extra shrimp or chicken by themselves will be 2 completely different flavors. This one is by far my favorite plate here with a side of...
Read moreOUT OF TOWNERS DO NOT COME HERE This is by far the worst Chinese food I've had. This is no exaggeration. I want to start off by saying I came in from San Antonio for business and I hadn't eaten all day. The nice lady at the counter charged me 4 dollars for a side order of fried rice. That's steep for rice. The rice was your typical fried rice, but this rice was bland. I had to smother my spoonfuls with the little mustard packages they offer. I also ordered the beef lo mein with veggies. The portion was decent, but this time the flavor wasn't bland, the flavor was awful. Nothing about the dish felt or tasted fresh at all. It was very greasy and the sauce they cooked with it was cringe worthy. There were slices of something in it that I've never seen before in beef lo mein. It looked like crescent shaped tofu. Maybe palm hearts? The smell of the sauce was horrendous. It literally smelled like a porta-potty... No B.S., it had that distinct porta-potty smell I'm sure we are all familiar with. The egg roll was alright (with the help of some mustard). Needless to say I threw out the entree and just ate the rice and egg roll. It's a shame that I had to write this review so negatively, but seeing how I paid for good food and got the opposite, I call this even. I wasn't about to drive another 40 minutes to return the food. If the locals think this is great Chinese food then they have no clue what great Chinese food is. I specifically ignored the buffets to avoid this kind of food. I was wrong. Buffet food is much...
