A very friendly and relaxing atmosphere the moment I walked in. The chatter and not so bright lights were very calming. I came with my family and we were seated immediately. The server then took our drinks and later came back for the rest of the order. It was a 10 minute wait until we got our food. We went in for breakfast and ordered the price's breakfast with hash browns + biscuit, the all meat omelette with hash browns + biscuit, the Texas waffle and the eggs Benedict with sourdough toast. The hash browns were not seasoned but this worked very well as they balanced themselves with the other dishes. The all meat omelette was full of beacon, sausage and ham. It was not too much and tasted great. The eggs Benedict was by far the best, the creamy hollandaise sauce went really well with the eggs and bacon. The Texas waffle was really cute and tasted like buttery perfection (might have needed a bit more sugar.) The price's breakfast was well balanced, tasty and filling. The waiter was so nice and took our order very patiently. She also kept topping off our coffee immediately. Prices chef is a well established diner with a beautiful history and tasty food. If I'm ever in town again, I'm going to Prices first.

On the search for the best turkey and dressing plates in Corpus Christi. And this was good. I'd come back to get it again. I called in the order over the phone to go. The staff over the phone and who helped me over the counter were very friendly and professional. The turkey, for the most part, was juicy but could have been a little more tender. The cornbread dressing and mashed potatoes were good/mid tier. The green beans could have used some salt. Overall, the whole thing could have used a little salt and pepper. But overall, not bad at all. Plus side they also gave me a side chicken noddle soup, which was really good and a small strawberry cake for dessert. Overall, I'd rate this dish an 8.5 out of 10. My only complaint would be that I would have liked a dinner roll. The price was very reasonable for all the food that was included. Just a little over $13! As far as the atmosphere of the restaurant, it's a cute little retro diner that needs a little renovation but charming.

Ok.. first time eating here and what a treat!! It's a diner that's been here for years so there is some wear and tear around the place.... BUT THAT'S what makes it look and feel so wonderful. Came for lunch and there was a good steady crowd coming and going. The staff was user-friendly and accommodating, and the food was just outstanding. I had the chicken and waffles, and my server suggested and asked if I wanted a little bit of Honey to go with that along with the syrup, she said that she really likes it with honey, I said yes and she brought out a little ramekin of honey, and it was really fabulous. I appreciated her recommendation. And she brought out two pieces of bread pudding for us on the house, just because. Now that I know about this establishment, I'm going to be back quite a bit

Don’t waste your time and money on this place. Wife, daughter and I were looking forward to it based on reviews. People were friendly and placed looked like it had been there forever. With anticipation we waited for our meal. Wife and I both ordered the eggs Benedict, daughter ordered a French dip. We also ordered a short stack to share. The pancakes came out first, way ahead of the meals. That was disappointing. At first bite I was immediately worried about what was to come. I could taste the dirty grill, I took one more bite just to be sure, after all it was the only thing on the table. Yeah the second bite was no better and my last bite of it, my family agreed. Next came our orders, they looked nothing like the pictures. The eggs were cooked hard, the small dab of sauce tasted like garlic and was disgusting. My first thought on taking a bite was something is spoiled, tasted rotten. It also had that bad grill flavor extending to the half cooked hash browns. My daughters French dip was advertised to come on fresh baked bread (it did not, came on a previous frozen Texas toast) We each had one or two bites of the pancakes, we each had two or 3 bites of our meals. The waitress never checked on us. I got her attention and asked for the check. At this point she noticed we had not eaten our meals and asked the problem. We explained that the food was inedible and that I could taste the dirty grill in everything. Her response was to tell me they’ve been very busy and when that busy they don’t have time to clean the grill…..yeah she actually said that. I just wanted to pay my bill and get out of there. She brought the check, full price for meals that were not eaten with no apologies only excuses. We paid the bill and I left a $5 tip which was more than deserved. You couldn’t drag me back to this place if they were paying me to eat there. If I could give less than one star I would, more like negative 5star. -5star rating I was actually worried for a couple of hours that we were going to be sick from just the few...

Price's Chef is a true hidden gem, offering a delightful blend of nostalgic diner charm and mouthwatering comfort food that keeps me coming back for more. From the moment you step inside, you're transported back in time to a bygone era of classic diners and hearty meals.

Let's talk about the food – it's simply incredible. The chicken and waffles are a standout dish, with crispy, golden-brown chicken paired perfectly with fluffy waffles and drizzled in sweet maple syrup. Each bite is a symphony of flavors and textures that leaves me craving more every time.

And let's not forget about the biscuits – they're a true testament to Southern comfort food at its finest. Light, fluffy, and buttery, they practically melt in your mouth and are the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

But it's not just the food that makes Price's Chef special – it's the old-school diner atmosphere and friendly service that truly make it a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The retro decor, cozy booths, and friendly staff create a welcoming ambiance that feels like home from the moment you walk in.

In conclusion, if you're in search of delicious comfort food served with a side of nostalgia, look no further than Price's Chef. Whether you're craving classic diner fare like chicken and waffles or simply looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a hearty meal, Price's Chef is sure to hit the spot. I can't recommend it...
