TANNINS Wine Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

My friends and I were so excited when tannins was going to open their south side location because it’s closer to both our houses . However we have gone now about four times . The first time was amazing but unfortunately every time after hasn’t been great . This last time we waited 40 minutes for drinks (my husband ordered a coke ) and it took 40 minutes . Our server was so nice and professional but he was the only server working and the bar tender had a party at the bar that was taking up a lot of his time . We ordered food which also took very long to get (at least an hour ) . Mussels that we had ordered previously were delicious but they gave us half the serving . The ceviche was also a very small Portion for 15.99 . My friend ordered a chicken wrap and the chicken was so over cooler she couldn’t eat it . My husband’s burger the buns were so over cooked it was hard as a rock . We ate and left and unfortunately will not be returning . Again our server was so nice think his name was evin! Whether it be a night out with the girls or date night with my fiance, I love going to tannin's. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The last few times we've gone. Mike has been our server. He's knowledgeable of the menu as wonderful selection options and is very attentive. The food is delicious. Try the Garlic lemon butter salmon, it's my ultimate favorite. For appetizers, we recommend the Rosemary focaccia. They also have a brunch option available which I'm excited to try on our next visit. Tens also has really good drink specials going on.
