Taqueria Jalisco #1 — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

The place is very clean, and the staff was friendly. However, our table did need a little bit of attention before we sat down, but it wasn't a deal breaker by any means. There was two of us there, so we each ordered an entree. The other person's plate came out perfect. My plate, however, wasn't done cooking. Fortunately I just ordered cheese enchiladas but the enchiladas were extremely cold. The beans and rice were very warm, so it didn't make sense as to why the enchiladas would be so cold. I didn't mind them being cold, because that's just me, so I didn't bring it to anybody's attention while I was there. But, since I'm giving an overall impression of my experience at this restaurant, I thought I'd be honest about the quality of the food that was served. My only other issue with the restaurant was the volume of the music. We both noticed upon entering the restaurant that it was extremely loud, and it also made it difficult for us to carry on a conversation just between the two of us sitting at the table. On my meal, I opted for the Verde sauce, and it was very salty, but that's not too uncommon.

The reason for three stars overall is mainly because of the volume of the music playing in the restaurant speakers, and the main portion of my meal being served cold.

This place used to be pretty consistent, but the last time I went which was today 8/30 around 7:45Pm before it was even busy or anything. When I pulled up cars started to come in at the drive thru so it was a little rush but nothing crazy so there’s no excuse why the chicken in the flatus was so dry I had to drink a whole glass of water to get a bite down, the beef fajitas, the chicken fajitas were bland and were also very moist less like they were just reheated over and over very sad and lifeless, the shrimp had a old smell to it like it wasn’t close to fresh at all, it had a weird texture like it was definitely old, only decent thing on both plates was the refried beans and rice, pico was really watery and tasted not fresh, tortillas seemed like they were from the morning, just cold and not fresh either. Just overall a very bad experience today and I’m honestly done wasting money in this area where I live because most of the Mexican restaurants are subpar, I rather take a drive and find something worth my $40 because this wasn’t it and I’ll probably won’t be back it...

Been going here since I was a kid and they used to have good food and the service was like family. But now there service is horrible and they steal money by over charging or charging for large amounts and giving small amounts but still charging for the large. I wouldn't spend less than 20$ every time I went my bill was usually 30-40 dollars each time but because I was always in a hurry didn't notice or just was in a hurry to get back to work so I didn't have time to call or go back but after several times not only me but my family and could workers started noticing so finally I asked to speak with owner about this and she's worst she trys to justify there mistakes and she is rude and don't care about her customers just her money even if she gets it the wrong way.
