Jalisco #2 — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

I will agree with the majority of others that have posted and groups of people that I know that I will post on their behalf as well.This restaurant is despicable! The food was horrible on June 28,2017 about 4-5 p.m. I ordered a I believe a #21 ..it was accompanied by Pico de gallo and charro,beans.I received my food very quickly which immediately sent up a red flag. The plate was warm to the touch and the food was cold ! The degenerates in the kitchen i suspect were probably hired right out of the streets! I politely asked to have my food made again to no avail ,the so called cooks put my plate in the oven and seared the Pico de gallo into my plate (for crying out loud ) I did not complain...I knew at this point I wouldn't get anywhere..my daughters kids meal of chicken strip looked and tasted as if they used recycled unfiltered old oil from last week's rush! My mother's and father's food was anything but appetizing ...we knew we had made a terrible,terrible error in our judgment.We are a family that likes to give people the benefit of the doubt. This experience however was realistically beyond description. ..the inside of this restaurant is absolutely atrocious! The odor was awful and the restrooms were deplorable! They had the temarity to hammer right behind my ear as my family and I were attempting to engage in conversation as to the distasteful attitude of the waitstaff and their appearance. At one time many many years back they were an exceptional restaurant! And perhaps this particular location is the only one that needs desperate attention...I'm also relatively certain that there will be those (paid agitators )who stand up to defend this restaurant . However, I will publicly make anyone a challenge. ..go and visit this restaurant and see for yourself. ..keeping in mind that the money that your about to spend could be better invested in a better place that serves quality...

My wife and I (more me) go to Jalisco quite often. We usually go right here on Horne rd but we will no longer ever again eat at this Jalisco. It was not bad service...the waitress was great. It was not the food...But it was the manager on duty. We came in after 6pm and had ordered when a homeless man came in and asked if my wife and I could buy him a taco...I told the man order what ever he would like to eat, my wife and I will never turn someone away. I had the man sit at the table next to us...he engaged in some conversation with us. I guess the manager did not like us talking with the poor man because he told our waitress that if the man kept talking he would kick him out...the man wasn't overly loud and was only talking to me and my wife from the table by ours...not every person has a perfect life or is perfect...I paid for that mans food...which made him a paying customer...I had to leave because I was pretty angered and did not want to make a scene...this happened a few days back and I am still very angered...it was just a harmless little homeless man. After 3 years of routine lunch and dinner 2 times or more a week I will never again set foot inside this Jalisco while that manager...

I came in after 9pm on a Friday they have the mariachi playing which is fun, though half the restaurant was being cleaned so it was rather cramped with a trumpet not far from your ear, the food is par, and I rarely use that term. It's good but not great, can tell from taste that some of the food is reheated and tortillas have no love. Gotten a Jalisco burrito boy it was big but filled with flavorless chicken. Margaritas are pretty cheap tho.-2 months ago

Two months later and I'm here again with the family giving them a second chance. Again I'm disappointed I placed my order first and never gotten my plate after the waitress asked for my order 3 times. She arrived with everyone's order but mine and came with an extra plate we didn't order. Once the kids ate and 40 minutes passed without my order so I decided to pay and leave only to find out they still wanted to charge me for the plate I never gotten and the plate that was added for no reason. Total was $65 once it was fixed the price was $54 for 1 plate and 2 kids plates and 4 drinks. Didn't even give me kid sizes cups. Never coming back again. There's a place with 3 horses on the sign down the street who haven't let me...
