We recently visited here, and it was an enjoyable experience. The girl upfront was very nice, but not so attentive. Even though we were the only people in the restaurant, besides another couple, my tea remained empty for most of the time we were there. To me, especially at the price point of this restaurant (and the smaller drinking glasses they use), the servers should pay attention to drinks and refill them shortly after they're empty. The inside of the place, though, was fantastic. It had great decorations, it was very clean, and the chairs were comfortable and functional. The food was good, but it was nothing spectacular compared to other places in town that serve Thai food. So with that being said, I think the price point is too high for what is served. There are other restaurants in town with similar, and better, flavor profiles than this place with less cost. Those places that match the price of this place have an edge when it comes to the dishes (e.g. they put more vegetables in the dishes to compliment it as well as balance out the salty, spicy, sour, and sweet flavors that make up most Thai foods). I'm not bashing the cooks here, as we did enjoy the food (after having to add more limes, etc.), but it is not a place I would visit frequently for Thai food at this price point. Just to give people an idea of the prices: We had a shared appetizer, 2 really basic entrees (Pad Thai and Tom Yum Noodles), and a shared sticky rice for desert with 2 drinks. The final price was almost $70. So, for a basic lunch for 2 it was about $35 a person before tip. Again, the food was good - we ate all of it. My criticism is that I don't think the flavor profiles were worth the price point noting that there are other places in town with slightly better flavors, textures, and service at the same - or lower - prices. I hope the restaurant succeeds, but I suggest they re-evaluate their menu and its prices. Maybe focus more on Thai street foods at a lower price point, or focus on one thing they do really well? The appetizer we had was a cup of yellow chicken curry with a deep fried roti ($9.99). The yellow curry was really tasty (again, not worth $10 for the portion, etc.), and something I would order as an entree if I ever went back there anytime soon. Maybe they could focus on just smaller amount of dishes and perfect those at a lower price point? Just a...
Read moreVery disappointed in their service and the good. I’ve eaten green curry for years. I even got GREEN curry from here one other time before… this visit they gave me yellow curry. And when I asked for a replacement, the service workers and chef laughed and said no it was green curry, green curry was not green…I never felt so unappreciated for my purchases before, almost felt degrading …. I may not be Thai, but I know what green curry is and most definitely know what it taste like So soon as I agree to just keep it and start eating I find a freaking HAIR IN MY FOOD… I truly believe it was out ther purposely due to my complaint!!…I’m going to post the yellow curry and the “green” curry. The only difference is the veggies & a photos of the aIR IN THE CURRY! Do not recommend this place EDIT: First off. I want to point out the fact that the hair in my food had to be someone’s in the facility. It was a wavier hair, and my hair is straight. The fact that you say everyone was wearing hair nets, makes me feel like you’re calling me a liar. But why would I lie??? I was offered a refund that night and I still took the same curry home instead due to being hungry. There was a hair. The food was not eaten. 15$ down the drain, Second I appreciate the fact that the owner reached out online reviews but it would’ve been nice if he would’ve came out that night whenever my questions occurred about the green curry. I did receive a missed call from Tuk tuk later that night. For that, I will give an extra star. When I asked about the green curry, the man in front replied “interesting.” And giggled/laughed. I am all about supporting local. I love to see community thrive… Definitely not supporting when the atmosphere at the facility is funky and my concerns are looked at as “interesting”. Although the vegetables were right in the green curry… it lacked the green peppers and chile spices. If the curry was really green curry, then I do not rec the green curry...
Read moreI’ve been here almost a handful of times, and last night was by far our worst experience. The food has always been amazing, that I give 5 stars. However, the service last night was extremely disappointing. They were not even that busy. Three servers and maybe 3-4 tables at the most. From the moment we walked in, we not once ever got greeted. We pretty much sat ourselves. Three different servers walked by our table, even looked at us several times, and not one word. It was probably 20-25 min until we were greeted. The older guy there who usually works the register was the rudest of all. Such tasteless customer service, and highly inappropriate when he’s at the register mouthing snide remarks about us to one of the owners, and we can literally hear every word he is saying. One of the servers just took my bowl of food and I wasn’t even finished with it. Throughout our stay we never got refills or was even offered dessert. They had no problem taking our money though. So disappointing. Not sure if we will be back, which is unfortunate as the food is absolutely amazing, but not worth our time or money when it is...
