China One — Restaurant in Corsicana

We aren’t from the area we were in town visiting family and decided that we wanted to eat Chinese food before we left. The food wasn’t the worse but it wasn’t the best, some of it was cold.

The lady that worked the front counter was extremely rude. When we asked to sit at a table by the window so we could make sure our dog was ok in the back of the truck she snatched the silverware up and stomped to the other table. Then the waitress who was very sweet and kind brought our check to us. I walked up to the counter and just asked a simple question about the age for kids since we had 3 with us, she very rude stated I watched you read the sign as you walked in, I replied with no ma’am I might have been looking at it but I didn’t read it. I told her it was not a big deal I don’t mind paying for whatever need to be I was just asking a question. So I paid for the food and went an sat back down at our table and was letting my husband know what happened. Once again the rude lady made a point to walk over to our table and try and explain the situation to my husband. I’m calmed told her that it wasn’t a problem and she continued to be rude. So we finished our dinner I told the lady at the front that I hope she has a good day and we left.

I also work in the service industry and I get people can have bad days but still...

Normally I'd give this place a 5 star, but today they are lucky to get a two. I know things happen but yall have got to do better about cross contamination in yalls food. I came and got 4 Togo plates for me my hubby and our kids, today I was in a hurry due to being on my lunch break so we made our plates quick and left. While eating I notice my throat is getting itchy and burning along with my neck and chest. I am highly alergic to shell fish. As I was eating I noticed what looked like a piece of shrimp, thank God I didnt actually eat it or I'd would either be dead or in the hospital. Not sure if another customer accidentally knocked in into the pan on the opposite side of the bar or if an employee accidentally did it when adding fresh food to the buffet. Thank God my sister was close enough to bring me my meds or things could have ended badly for me. Please check yalls food bar and if there is any food out of place or mixed in with other food I suggest yall just dump the pan and get fresh food out. I love yall and dont want to stop coming, so please do better. Not everyone is as nice or forgiving. Just glad it didnt...

Who's writing all these good reviews? Must be folks that havnt eaten Chinese Buffet outside of this town. It's a small buffet, and the food is horrible tasting. We were traveling, and wanted to eat Chinese Buffet, and Googled one. We should have listened to our gut feeling about it, when the GPS took us through a horrible residential area, with pot holes streets, to get to it. When we went in, we noticed signs up, that said, we would be charged $4.00 a plate for wasted food. We had a 3 yr. old, that literally ate 2 cucumber slices, 3 diced pieces of tomatoes, 2 slivers of peaches and 1 small tsp. size scoop of ice cream., for $5.95. So..we literally was afraid to put more than a Tbl. spoon of anything on our plate, before we knew if it was good or not, for fear that we would be charged for wasting food. Everything we tried was awful. Anyone that has eaten here and thinks that the food here is good, has never eaten at a really good Chinese Buffet before. Needless to say, we won't be back. 0...
