I have always loved Burger King. We were traveling and needed to stop on the road to eat. My husband has kidney disease, so we had packed him a meal and brought it in packed in a lunch tote. I ordered a combo with the burger having mustard instead of mayo and no pickles. The lady, who appeared to be a manager, asked me if I wanted cheese, and I told her I did not. She went over the order with me and told me it would be right out. When it came, it had cheese, so I took it politely to the front to get the proper order. When another polite Black young woman brought it, I thanked her. As I opened it, I found that this burger had mayo and pickles, but not mustard. I returned to the front and showed them. They apologized and said it would be rectified. Finally, the lady who had taken my order returned with the tray. This time, instead of there being a normal sized patty on the bun, there were 2 small junior patties slapped on. The lettuce was in large chunks that would not remain on the bun. The onions were not chopped, but were instead large sections of slices that would not stay on the bun. There were 2 thin circles of mustard. Chopped onions and a good amount of mustard are what makes the burgers so good. To top it off, when I returned the whole tray of the original error, I had the french fries still on it. They replace the fries with a new order that had what appeared to be an intentionally poured on mass of salt. There was so much on them, that I actually had to wipe off each fry with a napkin and had a mass of salt on the tray until I just could not eat any more. I said nothing. The lady returned to our table and stared at my husband, asking him about what he was eating. I simply told her that he had a special diet. I did not tell her that he had a stem cell transplant and it put him into stage 4 kidney failure. He is restricted on protein, salt, potassium, and phosphorus, and a burger could cause extreme complications. I also did not tell her that because of his diet restrictions, we never go out to eat. It was supposed to be a real treat for me to have this burger combo because I never eat that way. Maybe if the lady had realized it, she or her crew would not have maliciously sabotaged the final result that was brought to me. Her gals behind the counter were all laughing as she talked with us at our table. Guess it must have been pretty funny. Guess they saw my manners and knew that I would not confront them. My sincere hope is that a higher supervisor reads this honest review. I also hope that no future customer has to experience this. In addition, they kept my receipt, which was a credit purchase. We keep all of our receipts to verify against our monthly statements, and it should not have been kept. The outrageous result of what they brought me after so many errors was incredible and was the first and only time in my life when I have been dissatisfied with a Burger King experience in the entire state of Texas. This is sad. There was a Whataburger further in town where we initially stopped, but they were crowded to bursting in addition to having a line inside almost out the door. Now I know why people congregated there. It must have been the excellent service, relative to the Burger King. Perhaps the dark haired female manager (?) who worked that day at around 1:30 lunch during the second week of July should observe the product and the way in which it is delivered at the Whataburger. Sorry for this negative review. I am 63 years old and have never had a negative comment like this....
Read moreTerrible service and poor management. I got a order around 8 pm and more than half of my food was messed up. My Texas whooper got no bacon and 4 slices of jalepenos. I paid for a spicy chicken sandwich and they gave me a regular one. I got a whooper with added mustard and they forgot the mustard.i had another whooper with cheese but they forgot to put the onions in it. I also was going to order some ice cream but there was so much dried up milk and syrup on the icecream machine that I felt like the machine wasnt sanitary. I called burgerking 5 times and no one answered. So I came in during 10 am. And the manager that was in charge told me that if I wanted my food remade that I was suppose to call the manager that was running the shift to get a remake number. I couldn't get the manager to understand that I called up here 5 times and no one answered. I don't understand why no one was able to pick up the phone if there was 4 people in the store. After having to explain the fact that no one answered the phone multiple times, then she started making the food. Than after they got started on making the food the manager was calling some one in so she can go home cause she couldn't handle her job. So the guy in the kitchen who was preparing my food had to prepare the food by himself. That manager was so focused on leaving home so bad and paid little attention to ensuring that my food was made right. I was highly dissatisfied. That's pathetic management. This burgerking will have a hard time if this is the type of management that the employes have...
Read moreThe food is fine if you are willing to wait for it. I have rarely encountered an entire staff that seemed to move sooooo slow, this includes the manager. When we walked in, we were second in line to order, but it took 10 minutes to order a number 1 and number 5 combo (with no special instructions). I looked around the restaurant and noticed 7 other tables filled with customers, but none had food. That should have been an indicator to me. The manager was standing near the fryer, just staring at the wall. There was only one person cooking and no one working the fryer. People who had ordered must have mostly given up. They kept getting up and walking out without their food. The staff would call out an order for pick up about once every 4-5 minutes, but very few people came up to collect the orders. This seemed to confuse the staff and they would go back and talk about if for awhile then return and start to work on the next order. I watched at least 4 tables get up and walk out. I told myself that meant I was moving up faster in line, but I was wrong. This is a new establishment, so I know you need time to work out kinks, but it has been open a month now and the service is about the worst I have encountered. The staff and management seem to be in over their heads and have no rhythm for the business. This is the third time I have tried to go in and order, and I forced myself to wait it out. 39 minutes start to finish for two normal combos to go. I...
