We were passing through from out of town, and this place was packed out on the Sunday we went, which gave us hope because obviously people like it. My chair was dirty and had to be swapped for a clean one. Once seated, we ordered queso and margaritas. We weren’t asked what kind of margarita, but the house margarita was assumed. The house margarita tasted of sweet and sour mix with Jose Cuervo (known for being full of fillers and tasting diluted). The queso was decent, the food was average Tex-Mex. Our waiter, Jorge, had a huge block on his shoulder and seemed to care less about us. He would not stay at our table before we were done asking questions or telling him what we wanted. It was no surprise, then, that he brought us plain queso rather than the “queso with beef” that we ordered. He did not approach our table by introducing himself as our waiter and telling us about any specials or requesting any appetizers or drinks; instead, he pointed at us and said, “drinks?”
My daughter’s and my plates were completely mixed, meaning that half of the “beef-filled” items that were supposed to be on my plate were the “cheese-filled” items that she ordered on hers. My husband and I specifically requested a second margarita with Patron; it was better, but still made with sweet and sour mix, so not quite worth the $12/ea that we paid for them. House margaritas were $7/ea. We would not return here if we...
Read moreBad service the waiter had us waiting twenty minutes to get our orders n serve one glass of soda and only two others in that room besides us ordering food or eating food two waiters in the part of the restraunt we were in and waiting that long when everyone except us eating. Total wait staff six four out front two in the bar area. Are they that stupid not to know hay maybe we need to check on them and see if they need anything not waste time talking or doing who knows what in the staff room. So we got up and walked out. Does it take one person to check to see if there's anything they can get while waiting for our food twenty mins. to say oh how about we give you guys some orderves while you wait. We were going to leave a good tip if they did there job. $50 was the bill if we got our food and stuff and another $10 for tip but the waiter wanted to play with his phone or talk to other guests. Would I suggest a place like this? Hell no and for all the guests that were in the place it shouldn't of taken twenty mins to check on ten guests in the whole establishment there was maybe twelve tables and a empty bar besides the ones eating or ordering food. Which was one other family besides us. One waiter could of waited on them one on us but I guess Facebook was more important than...
Read moreEvery time I go to La Pradera, I order the beef fajita nachos and it is always the same thing, hardly no fajitas on the nachos but there is never a lack of jalapeños on the nachos. I order fajita nachos, not jalapeño nachos. We went today 07/01/17 and my Nephew ordered the fish tacos, two came on the plate and it came with rice and beans. There was one thin slice of fried fish and the rest was lettuce and he was very disappointed to say the least. He took out the strip of fish and ate it and I put the lettuce back in the tortilla and waited for the waitress to come back but in the meantime his girlfriend had ordered the chicken tacos, two came on the plate and there was very little chicken in the tacos and a lot of tomatoes, the waitress came and asked how our food was and I gave her my Nephew's plate and told her to tell them in the kitchen to eat that "taco salad" because it had a lot of lettuce and a thin strip of fried fish and then I showed her his girlfriend's tacos and told her to tell them in the kitchen to eat that "tomato taco" what they call chicken tacos! Money wasted for jalapeños, tomatoes and lettuce. We will not eat...
