Stefano's Pizza — Restaurant in Corte Madera

I do enjoy the pizza but after this afternoon I will not be eating here again. My wife and kids decided they wanted to get a slice after we picked up my daughter from school. My wife called in as a courtesy a few min before we would arrive to check if they had the type of slices we wanted as they often don’t have slices of Hawaiian, which is fine.no problem waiting. However the employee on the phone got quite rude with my wife saying that they don’t take slice orders over the phone. And that they had all the slices. I’m a way that felt like we were inconveniencing him. So when we arrived my daughter and I went in to pick up the slices we wanted and surprise they were short one pepperoni…? I said that was fine and paid then asked if they now understood why my wife had called. I mean I’m sure they were busy with not one customer in the store and three employees doing absolutely nothing. At that point the “manager” came over to me and kept yelling in my ear that the pizza cook was in the bathroom and I had to wait for him to make another pizza. I calmly reminded him that this is why we had called in to see if they had slices and he kept talking over me saying the “cooker”was in the bathroom and they couldn’t have done anything anyway. If I could rate the service -1 stars I would. I asked for one slice of Hawaiian pizza and one slice of cheese pizza. The worker turned around and mumbled something, I didn’t hear him so I didn’t respond and paid for my pizza. Right after I paid he turned around holding four slices of pizza. I told him I only wanted two but he just told me that I ordered four slices and they don’t have refunds even when I asked for one. That is a cheap move considering I am a 13 year old. Ok, begrudgingly I am capitulating.... my boys grew up eating here nearly daily. In grade school and High School it was 5 $ a day... a "slice and a soda" a was the routine. Soon I learned that a slice was 1/4 pizza and all you can drink soda. Recently, I dropped my car at D&K Auto for repair, and my 25 to son said.... "pizza time". So, we popped in.... 2 "slices" and sodas for 12$ and smiling faces who recognized my 25 to boy from 13 years ago.......
