1950s Took down the side of the mountain above and filled in San Francisco Bay to make the school and a beautiful park in front of Neil Cummings, beautiful. I remember in the 50s prior to filling the whole area would flood up to Tamalpais ave. As kids we would find old native Americans fishing weights in that park area. Found a one pounder that had fins at the bottom to secure line. Looked like a Rocket! I'm of the mind many Natives lived here thousands of years fishing the shore line and maybe small strawgrass boats to fish the beautiful boutique of bountiful fish in these Marin county estuaries. Has wood chips to combat the mud, and also a push button hose set up just outside the door for us to rinse the dogs off when you leave. That's a really great touch!
