Cool place to grab a delicious drink! This coffee shop is inside the Cortez Cultural Center so it’s a unique experience. Lots of tables to just hang out with friends, study, or do work. Really cozy and good atmosphere. Drink amongst cultural artifacts of the peoples of this area (there’s a small museum) while looking at art from local artists—it seems there’s always something new. Plus they have some neat local artisan-made items in their gift shop and baked goods. Aaron has a wealth of knowledge on the history of indigenous people and I could have stayed for hours picking his brain. Admittedly, I never found indigenous history that interesting or engaging, but my trip to Mesa Verde and conversation with Aaron has sparked a fascination and desire to learn more. Read moreThis is an amazing place to see at least once if you are in Cortez. What a place to sit and enjoy your coffee. We preferred to sort of roam not just inside the cafe but outside as well to notice and all the art displayed there. The popping Colors of paintings and great staff will make you fell home like nothing else. It’s at the quieter side of this town but for good reason.
