McDonald's — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

I placed a curbside pickup order directly through the McDonald’s app and included condiments. When my food was brought out, I was told they couldn’t provide the amount I requested because there’s a charge for it in-store—even though I wasn’t charged for it in the app. If there’s going to be an extra charge, it should be built into the app during checkout, not brought up when the food is already being delivered to my car. It’s inconvenient to be told I have to go inside to pay separately, which defeats the purpose of curbside pickup. Also, what happens if I had placed a delivery order instead—would the condiments just be left out? There’s clearly a disconnect between what’s charged in the app and what’s enforced in-store, and it needs to be addressed for a better...

This location is alright. The soda fountain isn’t open to the public. I ordered a vanilla milkshake here and it tasted like chemicals and medicine. It was light brown too as if it had way too much of whatever artificial flavoring in there. I’m gonna hope that was just a fluke. When I got there, a homeless woman with a lot of possessions spent a full minute pulling 300 napkins and then went to the restroom. In the 45 minutes I was there, she never came out. I asked to use the restroom before leaving and not only did it completely reek of I don’t even know what, but that woman was still in there. My problem is, what’s the point of a locked restroom that you have to ask employees to open? Who is it even trying to keep out if they’ll...

The issue I have with this location and any other location with this new horrible idea of making you pull into a holding spot to wait for your food to be brought out to you. It causes the entire process to take longer thus negating the entire "fast food" concept. Also, several times I have sat out there for over 15 minutes waiting for my order and finally had to go inside myself only to find my food sitting there under a heat lamp. Again, if I wanted to go inside I would have. So if anyone at McDonald's corporate ever get's these reviews...my advice...lose the failed idea of having people pull into a parking spot to further wait for their food and hoping they haven't forgotten you are out there. Ok concept...a big fail in...
