Jelly Doughnut — Restaurant in Cotati

One of my favorite donut shops .. and if ya knew me .. you'd know I'm a donut expert .. uh .. eating a donut expert. If I say it's a good donut . . . you can bank on it .. Krispy Creme? that is NOT a donut. Okay? Now .. this place may make the, or, one of the best apple friters in the area. Sams may be better. But - this place ? I've been going here since it opened in the 80's ? I think the 80's .. maybe the early 90's .. but I think the 80's. I drive my lovely wife crazy .. we're going to Lowe's. Okay - can we stop at .... NO --- Lowe's .. not the Jelly Donut! okay Then . . . as we're sitting at the stop light .. I start licking the window on the car - gross? I keep my window clean. Good enough to eat off of. Some times . she'll give in to my child like behavior .. and .. I get my doughnut .. see I DO know how to spell it .. but .. I like donut. Okay . . . I'll see you there .. and yeah .. their jelly donuts are just fine. oooooo .. now I'm thinking...

As far as my family & I are concerned jelly donuts are great. I love that they have blueberry fritters and apple fritters. My favorite was apple fritters but since I had the blueberry I've changed my mind. My wife and mother-in-law loved the custard and jelly filled. And I always get my mother-in-law a couple dozen donut holes so she can freeze them. I wish you can pull six out the night before to have with her coffee the next day when she's ready for her donuts. The prices here are good and the people are so nice. Before covid they used to open at 3:30 in the morning but now they open at 5:00 which is just fine with me. They also have breakfast sandwiches and coffee they also have a refrigerator with drinks and stuff in it. Go by and check it out I think you will be...

This little gem is an amazing find for me. I leave for work at five in the morning, and they are open at three with some of the most amazing breakfast sandwiches on croissants, bagels, and English muffins. And the sandwiches are so big! The maple bacon donuts the donut holes, all the different donuts and coffees make this an amazing stop for an early morning or early afternoon pick me up!!
