I’m giving one star because there’s no option to give zero. We would regularly dine or pick up food from here. The food is decent, nothing extraordinary, but good enough, so it was our nearby go to. Not anymore. Last Tuesday, my daughter and I went for dinner and had the misfortune of being stuck with the most incompetent waitress. The first sign was completely forgetting our drink order, needing to be reminded that we even ordered drinks well after we got our food, and even what they were(it was only two sodas). When it came time to pay the bill, I placed my debit card in the booklet along with the bill and she took it to the register. My debit card never got returned back to me. Somehow after my card was charged, it just disappeared. The waitress brought the bill back to me, but no card. When asked about my card she said she thought she had given it to me. I explained to her that she did not, as this was the first time she had returned to our table after taking my card. She was flustered, saying she had no idea where my card went. I told her what my card looked like and which bank it was from. She then brought me another person’s card, totally different than what I had just described mine looked like to her(wrong color card, wrong bank) and asked if it was mine. I said no and she asked if I was sure. Now I was getting irritated. Of course I was sure that was not my card, and I was also concerned that she had no idea who’s card belonged to whom. How does someone screw that up on the way to and from the cash register? To make matters worse, she seemed to not even really care and tried to pass it off as my fault. Seriously? She took my card, I even showed her on my bank app in my phone that my card had just been charged there, so it obviously made it to the register, but she didn’t know where it went from there. The manager then came over to inquire about the problem and they both walked off, I assumed, to look for my card. During that time another waitress came by and told us that this particular waitress is a problem and always does stuff like this. How reassuring. My daughter and I went to the front of the restaurant, we passed our waitress, who appeared to no longer be concerned with the fact that she either lost my card, gave it to the wrong person, or maybe something else? She basically was done with us and had gone on to wait on another table. The manager was at the register and said the card was no where to be found, but that he’d call me later that evening to update me. So we went home, with no card, but before I left I opened my bank app and “locked” my card. The next day I went by the restaurant, because I got no call the night before, and neither the manager nor our waitress were there. The employee that was there (who also had some choice comments about our waitress) got the manager on the phone to talk to me, who basically said “sorry, we don’t know what happened or what you did with your card”. I did nothing with my card, it disappeared after our waitress took it. That’s what really bothered me the most. No sincere apology for losing my card, no accountability on anyone’s part there, no genuine concern or caring. Yeah, I won’t be returning there to eat in the future, and in the meantime I cancelled my card, ordered a new one, and got a reimbursement from my bank atleast, for the money I wasted at that place. I would also like to add, if you’ve been there and you’re missing your debit or credit card since, they have quite a stash of them in the register, under the cash drawer… the employee that was there the day I went back got them all out for me to look at, to see if my card was there. How does a place end up with so many people’s cards in the first place? How are they not concerned that one of their waitresses can’t get orders straight and can’t deal with customer’s bank cards responsibly? And that she acts as if she couldn’t care less that she’s a problem? No excuses for this level of incompetence and carelessness.

This particular rating is based on inconsistent pricing and an inconsistent salsa recipe... We always order a large tub of Salsa Macha to go. Even when we dined in, we would order a large tub of it to go. It was always $5 and was consistently the same delicious recipe for years. Last time I ordered it (July 2021), the Salsa Macha was $6 for the tub (still an ok price); it was the same recipe and was delicious. This time (Sept 2021), the Salsa Macha was $8 and was terrible. They changed the recipe and added WAY too much garlic making it inedible. I think the chili's were burnt too. Previous purchases always had maybe an inch of oil at the top, but when I transferred it to my jar, it was HALF oil and since it's an opaque cardboard tub they sell you, one cannot really tell until transferred to a glass jar. (Photo reference: the spoon on the left is the former recipe, the spoon on the right is the newer, muddier garlicy recipe).

The atmosphere is fantastic! You feel you have been transported to Mexico with hand carved tables and chairs and wooden accents. We had the Poker Margarita flight. I'm not sure why it's called "Poker" Margarita, but they were fantastic! (We ordered 2! Shhhh) (Lavendar 😍, Jalepeño. Cucumber 🤤, & Mango) While we waited, we were served fresh, HOT tortilla chips and two dips, one a salsa and the other a bean dip. Delicious! Our shrimp fajitas came with rice, beans, shredded lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. Everything you need for an amazing, self-made taco. We also had an al pastor and a fish taco. Both tacos are "do-overs" in our book! If you're in the area or looking for a charming Mexican restaurant to have "date night," this is a great option. Add this place to your "Want to go" flag on Google Maps. You won't be disappointed.

I’ve order DoorDash from this restaurant multiple times and enjoyed the food. Decided today to place an order for pickup and skip the DoorDash fees. What a nightmare. Placed my order by phone and then drove to go pick it up. Walked into the lobby and there was a party in front of me. Waited about 5 minutes and they were seated. Then a party who walked in way after me was seated nobody even bothered to ask me anything. So I let them get seated. Finally growing impatient I tracked down a host who was walking into the lobby and told him I had an order for pickup. He asked me my name and looked for my order.. no where to be found. A hostess asked my name and found my order still on the wall unfulfilled and pointed it out to the male host he brought out an order that wasn’t mine. And then again brought an order that wasn’t mine, finally they brought out a bag that seemed to match my order, brought it home and found that it was completely wrong, my pregnant gf went back to rectify the situation only to be asked by the manager in the lobby to not tell anyone or talk to other customers about our messed up order. Meal should have been comped at that point but no. Food was ok but the whole experience was a huge NOPE. Will...

We have come here a few times and the service is always wonderful. But this specific time we had our kids with us. And and our service name was Flore I'm not sure if that's how you spell her name. But she said that her name was Spanish for flower. She was a beautiful, beautiful kind sweet woman and paid a lot of attention to the details of our meal and make sure we were having a good time. Everything tasted good. She kept checking on us. She was so accommodating and so sweet. That I let her manager know how much we enjoyed our dinner because of her service. It made it all the more special The food is always wonderful and came out hot and very quickly she made Sure that our drinks were perfect and that we Had everything we needed the whole time we were there She was one of the best servers i've ever had at a restaurant or during any dinner Experience anywhere we've gone to This place goes above and beyond and they love when families come in and have Dinner they accommodate two large groups And we will definitely be coming back again, especially if we get flore as our server She is wonderful definitely go and have dinner at mi pueblo Wonderful food good drinks and beautiful...
