Mi Ranchito — Restaurant in Cotati

My husband and I love coming here every Tuesday for are much needed date night. Normally we have a good experience,. The margaritas are always the best no complaints in that department, but it's been a couple of times we had liliana for our server. She is very unprofessional in what she does. She always is very nice to my husband and she ignores me and gives me an attitude. This last Tuesday we had her as a server once again she gave us shifty service. We asked for two waters she never brought to us, but I watch her get her other tables water's. She brought out my husband's food first and then brought out my food 10 minutes later. I ordered the steak and shrimp. The steak was extremely over cooked and the whole dish was cold. She completely ignored us after that. Not once did she come back to see how the food is. I just sat there watching her and the bartender looking at my table and gossiping. Finally she came to our table and asked if we need the check and we told her yes and my husband asked for a container to take home his food. She bought the check but no container. Hands down best Mexican food in possibly the county. Don't tell your friends, it's crowded enough! Thankfully never a long wait for a table tho, summer time is the best because the patio is pleasant. Full bar, GREAT, AND I MEAN GREAT happy hour deals for spectacular food. Tacos are always a will there. Just take a look around at the crowd and you'll know what I mean when I say they're doing it right. Plus I love the options of the salsa bar, mild as it gets to spicy as is come. Beware on the bright orange you gringos! Last night I ordered the padre macho burrito and it was the size of a newborn baby. Yes, a newborn baby. And God damn, it was heavenly.

This place is always jam packed so if you intend to go with a large group (especially on weekends), expect a long wait time and limited parking

Honestly Mi Ranchito is my holy grail for Mexican food. I have never had a bad experience and I have been to most of their restaurants in the north bay. I have also eaten at a ton of Mexican restaurants and this one takes the cake

I went again last night and it was beyond packed (there was a line out the door) and of course the mariachi band was there playing away. Service and quality of food did NOT suffer because of this!!

Chips are fresh and crisp. Salsa is FIRE (as in spicy and delicious) and all their entrees are full of flavor.

I will always return because it is my beloved...
