This was my Five Star Review a year ago. Then see below for my review from 5/2/2023.
Tonight my husband and I once again had R&R pizza for dinner. The crust is delicious and the sauce is very tasty. The toppings are plentiful but not overwhelming. The front of the house staff and back of the house staff are amazing. What care they take in taking your order, putting the pizzas together and cooking them. They actually listen to special requests such as ‘light on the cheese’ or ‘well done please.’ Our pizzas were perfect and ready on time. We will continue to order from R&R! Thanks!
UPDATE: We have continued to go to R and R for the past year even though the owners have changed. The last time we ordered I spoke to the owner about: 1) adding a notes line on the website so I don’t have to follow up with a call each time to ask for well done(not the first request for this); 2) not getting well done well cooked pizzas like we used to (always got wonderful pies before)and 3) how much smaller the calzones are now. We ordered tonight and I still had to follow up with a call. The pizzas tonight DO NOT resemble the pizzas I raved about. The crust tasted like cardboard, the cheese was way different than usual, the toppings looked like they were thrown on. When I spoke to the owner a few weeks ago she told me everything was the same and geez she thought there was a line to input special requests but neither is true. Just ask me the writer of the review above one year ago when it was run by the...

So new review 6/14/2023 When I first moved to Cottonwood 3 yrs ago I discovered R & R Pizza. Pizza is one of my favorite foods, so I know good pizza. I don't do the "fast foods of pizza stores". R&R Pizza used to be good. Then I notice it changing, really going downhill. The crust was like biting into a brick. The sauce used to taste good, not any more. The cheese, has no flavor. The new owners have run what used to be a good pizza store into the ground. Not sure why you would buy a business only to change basically everything. In my opinion they have changed to cheap ingredients and it shows in the lack of quality in the food. The prices went up and the quality went WAY down. Now I drive to Camp Verde for Crusty's pizza. Too bad Cottonwood can't get a Marco's pizza. One more thing, I gave it a 1 for atmosphere because sometimes the music is so loud I can't hear when I call...
Read moreTonight was the 3rd time we've gone there and the food is actually pretty good. I'd give it 5 stars, but the kids working there are like nothing I've ever seen before. I thought maybe the first two nights they might've just been having a rough night, but tonight they showed how rude they are on a good night. They literally mock the customers to the point where we can hear them. Well jokes on them, because it's the first time I didn't tip them. I tip people even if the service isn't that great, but they don't deserve a tip. If I want to pay for rude service, I'll just head over to portland. They're not going to go very far in life with that kind of attitude, and we're done with giving them our business. If anything, I feel bad for the owner of this place for letting these kids destroy this...
