Wednesday night, so the food should be fresh, being the first day of the week they are open. Cucumber salad was limp, not crispy, poor flavor. Ordered the Salmon entree... “sorry, we have no Salmon”. Asked if tofu can be added to the veggie stir fry... waitress went back to ask... “sorry, cant do it”. What’s so hard about adding tofu to a stir fry? Hi the customers they ask for! Ordered the chicken teriyaki, it was overpowered with a sauce ratio to rice; almost like they dumped sauce on the brown meat chicken and stirred in a little rice, the broccoli florets were microscopic, like they took one branch of broccoli and made it into mini 1/4 inch pieces. That would have been fine if you don’t like broccoli! The person that I believe was the owner came out to gab with her friends that were customers, but must not care enough to ask her other customers how their experience was. This is a restaurant to skip. Drive to Sedona and get some “Chinese” Japanese food that is prepared with much more care at Szechuan Restaurant. This restaurant may have a Japanese name, but the food is really not served...
Read moreThe sushi is good when they have all the ingredients, But every time i go and i have gone at least 5 times because i live in the area they are out of at least 2 to 3 things to make the rolls. They have a small menu so when out of something it really limits the options on what to order. They whine about how the supplier will only let them order a small amout of different things and when i suggest finding a back up supplier they get offended. I go to Hiros in Sedona also for sushi and never once have they been out of anything on the menu. I was Ms Masakis an a Sunday night, they had 3 tables of customers 1 was a friend of thiers ( KAREN) who tried to offer her 2 cents into my conversation with the owner. Its no wonder no one was there to eat. They also tried to charge me for 2 beers when i only had 1. Needless to say i cannot recomend. I just went and read other Reviews Haha these have to be her friends leaving all these 5...

Price increases are to be expected, however combine that with the fact their portions are currently half what they used to be all around, and the severe nose dive in quality, we are left with a bad and expensive taste in our mouths.
My Teriyaki Chicken Salad/$15+ was less than a handful of spring mix, with sparce veggies, and less than half a chicken breast. Unfortunately this small amount of chicken breast was not only under cooked, but also much older than what is considered safe... :(
Our appetizer of spring rolls was completely forgotten and we were charged for them. A credit was offered when a refund could not be applied for the mistake.
All in all, our experiences here have declined heavily the last couple of years, and while we are not individuals who pick everything apart, we feel it's fair to share the facts of our experiences... We are sad to see this...
