Very Very Mixed Review.... We've waited months to Eat here.... Finally we get our chance ! The Food was Great but everything seemed a Little Salty ? Our Server was Great but she didn't seem to know how to Communicate with the other Staff to ask for Help ? Our Food came out all Neily Weily and at Odd Times to the Point we had to Cancel a Course.... The other Staff well everybody seemed Tense ? Like everybody was just so Awkward ? So many Employees ! Everybody waiting for idk what ? The Restaurant it self felt Cluttered ? Didn't feel like a Restaurant more like a Room where Food happened to be .... Drinks where Ok after the 3rd Try ? All in All Good Food ! Great People ! Zero Direction ! We will Definitely give it Another Go later down the Line !

Overall, it was good and we'll visit again since it's right here in Cottonwood. Our server and the chef were friendly and the owner came out to see if we were enjoying our meal. The Mountain Crunch roll was delicious and the yellowtail sashimi was good and nicely presented. The scallops were lost in the scallop roll so I'd order scallop sashimi next time. The large sake at $8 was fair, but $5 for a bowl of miso soup seemed high. You can opt to sit at the sushi bar, a table, or a booth which is nice. The country/classic rock playlist was out of place. Happy hour is 2-5.

Expansive menu, awesome welcome greeting and servers.in words of Gordon Ramsey, people will wait for good food. Wait time about 20 minutes. Totally acceptable when you receive delicious and meticulous works of art as this. I would rather wait for food that preparers care about than something sloppy with no passion behind it. So happy ms masaki is now open.

Wednesday night, so the food should be fresh, being the first day of the week they are open. Cucumber salad was limp, not crispy, poor flavor. Ordered the Salmon entree... “sorry, we have no Salmon”. Asked if tofu can be added to the veggie stir fry... waitress went back to ask... “sorry, cant do it”. What’s so hard about adding tofu to a stir fry? Hi the customers they ask for! Ordered the chicken teriyaki, it was overpowered with a sauce ratio to rice; almost like they dumped sauce on the brown meat chicken and stirred in a little rice, the broccoli florets were microscopic, like they took one branch of broccoli and made it into mini 1/4 inch pieces. That would have been fine if you don’t like broccoli! The person that I believe was the owner came out to gab with her friends that were customers, but must not care enough to ask her other customers how their experience was. This is a restaurant to skip. Drive to Sedona and get some “Chinese” Japanese food that is prepared with much more care at Szechuan Restaurant. This restaurant may have a Japanese name, but the food is really not served...

The sushi is good when they have all the ingredients, But every time i go and i have gone at least 5 times because i live in the area they are out of at least 2 to 3 things to make the rolls. They have a small menu so when out of something it really limits the options on what to order. They whine about how the supplier will only let them order a small amout of different things and when i suggest finding a back up supplier they get offended. I go to Hiros in Sedona also for sushi and never once have they been out of anything on the menu. I was Ms Masakis an a Sunday night, they had 3 tables of customers 1 was a friend of thiers ( KAREN) who tried to offer her 2 cents into my conversation with the owner. Its no wonder no one was there to eat. They also tried to charge me for 2 beers when i only had 1. Needless to say i cannot recomend. I just went and read other Reviews Haha these have to be her friends leaving all these 5...

This used to be a favorite spot for our whole family...

Price increases are to be expected, however combine that with the fact their portions are currently half what they used to be all around, and the severe nose dive in quality, we are left with a bad and expensive taste in our mouths.

My Teriyaki Chicken Salad/$15+ was less than a handful of spring mix, with sparce veggies, and less than half a chicken breast. Unfortunately this small amount of chicken breast was not only under cooked, but also much older than what is considered safe... :(

Our appetizer of spring rolls was completely forgotten and we were charged for them. A credit was offered when a refund could not be applied for the mistake.

All in all, our experiences here have declined heavily the last couple of years, and while we are not individuals who pick everything apart, we feel it's fair to share the facts of our experiences... We are sad to see this...
