Golden Trebol — Restaurant in Cottonwood

Golden Trebol is one our favorite restaurants along our travels. As soon as you enter, Javier greets you with a smile and kindness. Golden Trebol has an extensive menu and the food is absolutely delicious. As Javier was going through the menu with us, he explained he could customize any of the dishes to our liking. He showed us images of each dish. Javier heard my husband and I discussing how we wanted to order one meal and split it as we had ate a late lunch and weren’t real hungry. However, we were unable to agree on one. He informed us that he’d make the two different dishes that we were contemplating. He offered to make small portions of both dishes. (He wanted us to experience both dishes by sharing.) My husband ordered the Barroseno - rigatoni pasta tossed in a creamy Alfredo and marinara sauces with Italian sausage, grilled chicken, mushroom and fresh tomatoes. I ordered the pasta Alfredo - papperdelle pasta tossed in a rich Alfredo sauce with sautéed mushrooms, broccoli and 5 huge tiger shrimp. When he brought the dishes out we were surprised by the size of the portions. They were huge. We ate them for two days afterwards. We decided to take dessert home and had the cheesecake and crème brûlée. Insanely delicious. The cheesecake’s texture was unparalleled and it was a generous portion. When he brought the desserts out in the to go bag, he informed me that he’d given me a little extra crème brûlée. I overheard one customer ask if they had guacamole. Javier replied “No, but I can make you some. It’s easy to make.” Javier is very talented when it comes to garnishing and the final presentation of the dish. We will definitely be returning to Golden Trebol when we are back...

First time here. I had the Treble omelette that Javier suggested along with the Tortilla soup and the Brown Betty warm apple slice and vanilla ice cream dessert. The Trebol Omelet was excellent, the broccoli and asparagus were cooked to perfection along with the fluffy scrambled omelette, a wonderful blend of flavors. The Tortilla soup was one of the best Tortilla. Soups i've ever ordered.The Brown Betty was a delight to my taste buds. They also let me sample tostada with queso mushrooms, corn and some other spicy items. It was delicious! And to top it off, they treated me like family, very family friendy restaurant setting. I will be going back soon to try some other...

The BF and I stopped here for dinner after a ride on the Verde Canyon train. Thought this was just a Mexican restaurant, but they serve a wide variety of foods. Lots of different seafood options. Enjoyed the chips and salsas. We both ordered tacos (BF got chicken, I ordered fish). For the price, I wish the dishes came with a choice of either rice or beans as a side. There was a bit of “slaw” .. green and purple cabbage mixed with cilantro. These were the best fish tacos I’ve ever eaten. I think the restaurant could use better signage and lighting as it’s very hard to see from the street at night. I wish them much success and will...
