Edit as of October 2024 I've been coming here for years and enjoyed the food like no other I remember there was a few months I was here 3-4 times a week (I really enjoy Chinese food) but now everything seems bland the fried rice I have had to choke down the past 3 times (because I didn't learn my lesson and didn't want to believe my favorite place changed) unfortunately my favorite food stop is from a 5 star down to a 2 star (because I have hope maybe they will fix themselves.) I will come back again at a later date and I hope they improve as Ive always loved coming here.

I have been coming to this china wok for as long as I can remember (5+ years is what Google still has tracked from me having a phone) I can't remember more than maybe once (No one is perfect everytime) that I have had a bad experience here! Absolutely love the food and prices this is my family's go to everytime for Chinese! And the drive thru makes it all the better it takes no...

basically a hole in the wall with s few granite top tables. paper plates and plastic utensils. the waiters speak english and are understandable. food served hot, and promptly. food is brought to the table, but the customer has to pick up dirty plates and put them into the garbage bin which is close by to the tables. for the same price or even lower, one can get much better Chinese food in Milwaukee, for example, or in Fort Morgan, Colorado, where we ate yesterday. which dishes do i recommend? it’s the same gravy whether it’s kung-pao shrimp or egg foo yong. For $13 i got a lot of celery, some mushrooms and water chestnuts, and about 15 rock shrimp, the size of a toddler’s little finger. We came here because if its proximity to where we’re staying for the night. so, if you want, atmosphere, go somewhere else. usually i take home what i couldn’t finish, but i think i shall give the kung pao minus shrimp...

My husband & I tried China Wok of Council Bluffs, IA on 24th & West Broadway. We will never eat there again. I ordered a dish with Chicken & vegetables & my chicken didn't taste or look like real chicken. It reminded me of chewing a sponge. I asked my husband to try the chicken and he said its almost like they cut super thin layers of chicken with the fat or skin on it is the only thing he could figure out why it didn't seem like normal chicken. My husband ordered broccoli beef and he said the beef tasted funny. We both had the hershey squirts for the rest of the night. The best place I've had fresh & hot Chinese is on 114th & Davenport area called Szechuan Express. Its a hole in the wall place but really good food. They even make my favorite peanut butter chicken with zucchini and non-breaded chicken if...

China wok is disgusting and over priced! I got the General Tso chicken with an egg roll and pork fried rice. They messed up the order first and foremost. The general tso picture on the menu showed tons of broccoli when we got the meal it had 2 little pieces. The rice was steamed no eggs no flavor and dyed yellow with peas no carrots. My fiance got the sweet and sour chicken an crab ragoons. It might as well been chicken nuggets breaded with tempura and the crab ragoons was disgusting. Bugs galore on the window seal. Please do yourself and save your self $50 dollars. After spending a week in the hospital for my daughters birth i was looking for a good meal. i am highly disappointed in china wok it is so disgusting and to top it off the cashier was too busy on her phone than to take the order correctly.

I do not recommend this place at all! I usually go to Great Wall in council bluffs (that place has been my favorite for years), but it was a Sunday and they closed early so I thought I'd give another place a shot. We'll I chose the wrong place. I ordered pork fried rice with extra egg and when I got home to eat.. I notice I had egg shell in my food and I pulled it out and tried to enjoy the food, but then noticed a piece of lettuce. There should not be no lettuce in pork fried rice. All these years I've ordered it I have never had lettuce in it. I am so disappointed, I couldn't even eat more than 5 bites of what I ordered. Don't waste your time or money on this restaurant. Another complaint I should add is the fried rice is yellow and the pork is definitely not the real deal.

Do not recommend! Eating the orange chicken wasn't a pleasant experience at all. It was elasticity and by the end I had to spit it out, just to find my 'orange chicken' left as some weird consistency/form from chewing it. I also had noodles which were ok, but not something I'd choose to eat again. In my opinion the food was priced way more than what it deserved. About $75-80 dollars of regret by far. I felt like I got scammed and I just wanted a refund back. The restaurant is clean and the customer service is pretty good. Not the food though. (Sorry about the picture for those of you who get disgusted easily)
