Me and my father came here on 8/22/2025. My father enjoyed the big cut of prime rib. And I enjoyed the hot rost beef sandwich with gravy. We also got an order of cheese nuggets.

We arrived around 1215-1230 parking lot was mostly full, a few spots were open. Inside was pretty busy. There were no actual tables available at this time. However there was some space at the bar and we were seated right away.

There was only a couple servers I believe 2 for about 30 patrons. She asked our drinks and then we waiting about 5-7minutes for our drinks to arrive with menus. Was not a bad wait for the amount of patrons server was responsible for.

Our food came out about 15-20 minutes after putting in order.

The prime rib was huge and delicious The potato soup was delicious The roast beef sandwich was good however it seemed like too much bread not enough roast beef. The mashed potatoes was a generous helping. The cheese nuggets were good. However I thought the portion for price out of balance.

Overall experience was wonderful! Great food, good environment, and the entrees seem reasonably priced and portioned.

I would recommend this establishment for others to experience. I...

What happened here? Growing up in CB, LPL's was one of my favorite places to eat, so coming back to town, I thought this would be a great place to take my fiance! That was a mistake. The service was terrible! We were told we couldn't push tables together because it's Saturday, but were directed to a table next to the door large enough to seat 8...because a 2 tables were pushed together. Ok, fine. It's Saturday. It might get busy. Except that between 6:45 and 8 pm when we were here, we stared at tables away from the door that could have been pushed together but sat empty instead. Add to that the rude attitude when I reminded the waitress I asked for water and forgetting our appetizers, and it was just a bad experience. You would think talking to the owner would at least get an apology, but she was immediately on the defensive and informed us that we were not allowed to tell them whether or not they were busy. Walking away, the owner and the waitress just muttered, that's Council Bluffs" which coincidentally is why I no longer live here....but the food was still good which is why I gave this...

I recently dined at LPL's Bar and Grill in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out.I had the taste sirloin, which was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying baked potato was equally delightful, perfectly cooked with a fluffy interior and just the right amount of seasoning. My dining companion opted for the ribeye, and they couldn't stop raving about it. The ribeye was perfectly marbled and grilled to a succulent medium-rare, delivering a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The loaded baked potato on the side was a perfect match, generously topped with cheese, bacon, and chives. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring we had everything we needed. The overall dining experience at LPL's Bar and Grill was top-notch. If you're in Council Bluffs and looking for a place to enjoy a fantastic steak dinner, I highly recommend trying LPL's. You won't be...

To LPL Management, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional dining experience I recently enjoyed at your restaurant. The high quality of the cuisine significantly exceeded my expectations. The prime rib, prepared to perfection, was a particular highlight, as was the remarkably flavorful roasted chicken breast. I also found the chicken peanut Thai sandwich to be exceptionally delicious, though its appeal proved too strong to allow for a photograph before its consumption! The carrot cake was a delightful and fitting conclusion to the meal. The overall culinary artistry and the attentive service contributed to a truly memorable experience. I look forward to my next visit and will enthusiastically recommend your establishment to colleagues and friends. Sincerely, Ken Nelson
