Rick & Dee’s is a true local breakfast spot in the heart of Coventry. Family owned & operated! As such, you are treated like family in return. They’ve got their regulars with the old school banter we love, , there “all dayers” who can drink you under the table with an entire pot of coffee, the couple who makes it a point to come in ever Friday & Sunday morning before work together, or the couple who shares all about their trips or their animals & so many more amazing characters I could go on for days. This is a very laid back, home style, nostalgic diner. Food is on point always, you get your coffee and your food pops up when it’s ready (in no specific order). You come here to gripe & moan before going to work, or about the week you had, you come in to show off your grand baby who will grow up sitting at the diner bar along side you, you bring your baby, child, grand kids in because this is a family diner we they love your kids like they where their own. I enjoy Rick & Dee’s for the great food, company, atmosphere & staff. These ladies are hardworking & amazing people all around. Rick would...
Read moreThis is a great little diner tucked away in a little town in Rhode Island. I haven’t been here in over twenty years! Parking is behind the building in an ample sized parking lot. They have a space or two on the side and one in front, but we try to leave those for the people who have a difficult time walking. The food is absolutely phenomenal, as is the friendly and professional service!! It has an old fashioned atmosphere about it, a setting out of the 50’s and60’s! A few booths are available if you’re with a friend or small group. There’s also a bar type seating option if you’re by yourself, or simply want to dine at the bar. Rick and Dee’s has a generous serving for their modest price! I left the diner this morning with my daughter and a Full Belly, and we brought some of her leftover omelette too!! The regulars were there also, to give this diner a comfortable Mayberry, Andy Griffith kind of feel....
Read moreLet me start by saying that I’m in the restaurant industry as well. No matter where you go whether it’s fine dining or not, kids should always be served first! Followed by ladies then the men. Well I went with my mother, husband and 2 children. My husband was served first. My youngest child was served last - waiting only on a breakfast sandwich. They were just all over the place! We had 3 different people wait on us. They never checked up on us. They were just talking and talking and playing with a baby while our plates just stacking up! Just unprofessional in every way…. I guess that’s the price you pay for a location like that. Oh and let me finish by saying IT WAS MOTHERS DAY! Glad my husband enjoyed his...
