Nova's Grill Filipino Fast Food — Restaurant in Covina

I called my order in for pick up. It was $13.07 we came to pick it up and there was a sign that says $25 minimum for credit/debit card transactions. The cashier said is it okay if I charge you $1 for it being under $25 we then said yes. She asked the manager and I clearly saw her said no it has to be $25 and up. Okay, first of all, i have came to this place and paid with my debit card without there being a minimum. Second, if you are going to have a minimum dollar amount you should supply an ATM machine because some customers will not go take the extra time to go to a bank to take cash out. Last, if that customer doesn't come back well you just lost money, and wasted your time to cook that food that the customer just ordered. These are things management need to think about. But hey run your place the way you wanted but I'd rather go somewhere else and pay someone rather than wasting my gas driving back and forth especially since I drove from Glendora just for your food. Will I go back again? No because the minimum should have been mentioned prior to my order before...

This is just the beginning y’all! I normally receive an A-1 experience from this establishment. But let me bring this to light! I was trying to place an order over the phone as I usually do! They normally know who I am and the orders that I place. Today, I was attempting to place an order for a new customer and was very disappointed and embarrassed by the way the owner (Lexicon) behaved! Which was Super Irate! Overly Rude! Godlike (saying “I’m the owner”!, I’m above all!, yelling I don’t have time to explain or need to help you understand the menu. If you don’t like it, don’t buy from here! attitude! And hung up in my face! What a disgusting, pathetic, disrespectful, person! Who obviously feels he’s at the top of his game and doesn’t care about losing great, frequent going customers! I had clients on a 3-way line looking to place orders! Due to my bragging about this place! I now will never trust ordering from this place because the probability of my food being spat in or tainted...

I fell in love with Filipino food when I took a trip to the Philippines and got to experience the lifestyle, Nova Grill took me right back to those days.

Boodle Fight or Kamayan Style was on the menu. We had a group of about 15 hungry people, so this meal was perfect!

Nova does offer this for groups of 8 or more at $10 a person. The meal includes Tilapia, Cajun Shrimp, Talong, Rice, & Veggies, everything is laid out on a table across these huge, beautiful, green banana leaves. FYi my photos might show a bit more food options on the table than what's on the menu, remember you can always order any A LA CARTE items (at additional charge)

The staff is AMAZING! Definitely felt welcomed and like family. Everyone did such a great job setting up and making sure we were fully satisfied from beginning to end. Make sure you say hello and thank you to the owner/chef :). Nova is located in a small plaza with a decent amount of parking spots.
