If you haven't tried Pie Trap Pizza in Covina, you need to stop what you are doing and drive there right now and have the best pizza in town. Possibly the best pizza I've had in my life, including what I had in New York. I’m a big city girl. Living in the suburbs is ok but we’ve spent a year trying different pizza spots only to be disappointed. I had given up hope. Met someone recently who asked how I like living in Covina and I said “It’s all good except there is no good pizza here!” She said “then you haven’t tried Pie Trap”. She was right. I didn’t have high hopes but we went tonight. We had NY style round, pepperoni and onion with a drizzle of hot honey. I thought I was going to cry. That's how good it is. So dang delicious. I could eat that pizza every day of my life. Crispy crust, zesty sauce, quality ingredients, the honey was perfect, the guys in the kitchen had smiles for the customers even though they were slammed. If you are still reading this review you need to stop it and just go get some Pie Trap. If you don’t, there may be no hope for you at all. Srsly why are you...

UPDATE: 1/19/26 I had Paul, the owner of the establishment, reach out after reading my review and offered a pizza on the house. Which I thought was pretty nice of him to do. Just reaching out in general was honestly enough. I reached out to him today, letting him know I'd stop by. He asked what kind of pizza I'd like, informed me to ask for Omar, and he'd take care of me.

I really appreciate the service and fresh pizza. The soda machine was back up. I was willing to pay for the garlic knots, hot honey on the side, sticker, and sodas I ordered as well, but Omar hooked me up. Thank you guys, pizza was great! I'll be back , most definitely.

Walked in to grab some pizza and took some single slices that were available, as well as two orders of garlic knots. The soda machine was down. Got to my destination, and pizza was hard as can be. Garlic knots were ok... I probably won't be back unless it's to eat pizza there. They are connected with a cool...

I don't know why people call this place great. The pizza is average yet expensive. I paid $5.50 for a slice of pepperoni. A regular size slice it wasn't anything special a little too much garlic on the sauce not enough Oregano...they had no to go box and simply handed me my slice on a paper plate...when you're charging 5 bucks a slice and 30 a large pizza ...you figured they'd have proper supplies. The environment is cool...I mean they have hip hop playing and I guess that means it's cool...whatever...I don't think I'd go back at least not if I'm paying...but honestly I expected a lot more for the ratings this place has...it's either all paid for or the staff is placing reviews. Picture makes slice look way bigger.

And based on the response of whoever thought it was necessary to respond...you can tell they know what I wrote about the pizza is true...a rude response is not necessary if you know your product is good...pizza taste like your attitude...bad and reflects in the service of the workers that were...

Came back to try the pizzas again and 10/10 for best customer service. The service alone tops any pizza joint I've been to. Paul (the owner) and his entire staff were super personable and friendly. This time around, I opted for a whole Sausage Was the Case ($35) and half Notorious P.E.P & half Spillmatic ($34). Initially, Paul said the half and half would be difficult since Spillmatic has the sauce on top versus the pepperoni which doesn't so cook time would be different. However, he found an alternative and asked if sauce on top after pizza came out of the oven was fine and I didn't have an issue with that. Once the pizzas came out of the oven, we were provided with cheese, peppers, and some hot honey containers to try with our pizzas. Tried the pizzas fresh out of the oven and the bottom had the perfect amount of crispiness. Nothing beats a fresh slice! Pie Trap Pizza is right next door to a brewery with indoor and outdoor seating available. No issues with parking but we also had gone in on a weekday.
