This store has the best staff the manager here is always so friendly and kind he deserves recognition for going above and beyond the call of duty I think they might have 2 managers here idk but both of them show outstanding leadership skills you can tell that they care about their customers, employees, and community because the store is always so fresh and clean looking and all staff are helpful I never see anyone just standing around chit-chatting in fact every time I go here all staff seem to be so happy to help or happy to work people are always smiling I never get rude customer service and I go here often and I am just so impressed with how well kept the store and parking lot is , and lines are never that long if it seems like people are starting to form a line this store is so quick to just open up another lane to make c/out quicker and I just love it I have never waited over 10 minutes these lines are fast since the managers do a great job at having just the right amount of workers daily never under staffed always just perfect. They follow all safety procedures and this is a safe store to shop out because it is the cleanest store I have ever been too,and the shelfs are always stocked yet they could use some more cokezero products in the cans and they could put sodas on sale more often but I'm not complaining either because I think I would come to this store regardless of the prices due to the store being so clean and the staff always being so kind and helpful . Honestly, though the managers here do excellent at showing care and concern for their community members that shop here i have seen on countless occasions the managers going above and beyond the call of duty to help a senior citizen or greet someone shopping asking them if they found everything ok and from a customer perspective that means so much to know that they are bagging more than just groceries, for this store also bags" happiness " and they don't even k own it..but they make my day much better by the happiness they show you when you enter .thanks for caring and for...
Read moreI went to this Stater Brothers at night on 1/5/19. I was passing by and figured I would get my grocery shopping done a day early...what a mistake! I went to the meat counter to get chicken breast. I waited for almost two minutes, but I was the only one there. The person behind the meat counter was cleaning and not acknowledging me. When I asked for 2 1/2 pounds of chicken breast the person replied in a sarcastic, disrespectful tone "well I can give you two pieces but its not gonna be the exact weight" I have bought meat plenty of times and realize the weight is almost never exact, but the employee always says "its over/under is that ok?" I don't expect the person behind the meat counter to be a NASA engineer, measuring with precise accuracy. I do expect employees to at least not be rude, maybe even pleasant. As a bonus, I wanted to get salad but much of it was out of stock. Also the frozen pizza section looked like a horde of barbarians marched through it. I have had bad customer service experiences at this location in the past and won't be coming back. The location on Azusa in West Covina is great. Go to that one. If you value your time, and want to be treated like a person don't go to this store. It will be a waste of your time and leave...
Read moreBeing from AZ. We were shocked when we had to pay for some b.s. recycling charge when we bought a case of water! I mean I'm all for recycling and do so every chance I get. But to have to pay for the use of plastic bottles before we even use them, doesn't make sense to me!! And then to boot, there was also a charge, for bags too! Whether it was plastic or paper it didn't matter. So, we bought one reusable bag for $2.99 and told them to pack that bag! They did, but there wasn't enough room for the few items we bought for a meatball soup. So, we said the heck with that, we're not paying for any more plastic! And we wound up carrying a few items in our hands! So, if you're not from California, be prepared for some sticker shock!! But other than the expense we liked the store, it was clean and well-stocked, and there were plenty of employees to help, too! They also had a wide selection of products. The lines were short, too. So bottom line, yes it was a nice store. However, when visiting California...I highly suggest bringing a 5-gallon bottle of water. Which I wanted to do. But could not due to a packed car. So, be prepared for some sticker shock on plastics and glass, too! Yes, I recommend the store, but not necessarily, the state...
