I came to the thrift with my grandma and mom. I had to leave because my grandma had something urgent to do. So I wasnât able to put the extra clothes away that I didnât want. I then got ringed up and before I even said hello I let the girl know that I apologize for having so many extra clothes. She then tells me she already has a lot of clothes to put away and that next time, I should put clothes to the side. She actually pointed somewhere for me to put them. I even ask âdo you want me to put them there?â she tells me âwell itâs too late nowâ she continues to go on and tell me how thereâs already so much clothes to put away and for the next time, where I should put extra clothes. I told her âusually employees at stores and thrift stores have to put clothes awayâ I told her âgirl Iâve worked retail too, I know how it isâ basically saying I know exactly where you come from because there was times where I had to stay longer hours just to put clothes away and fix the store. She then had the audacity to tell me âwell you should know better than right?â âYou should know better because you worked in retail?â Keep in mind Iâm already worked up that she was complaining to me. I just looked at her because I knew at that point I wouldâve cussed her out and embarrassed her. Then right before she handed me my bag she said âyou know where to put clothes for next time. Now you knowâ.First of all, I am the customer and she is the employee. She gets payed to put away clothes! It is not my job to make her job any easier. I understand she was probably tired and had a long day. Iâve had multiple days like that as well but at the end of the day Iâm not taking it out on customers. The fact that she had the authority to tell me all the stuff that she did is so unacceptable and disrespectful. Overall rude! If she were to work anywhere else she wouldâve got fired or written up on the spot. There is no reason for ANY employees to treat a customer the way she treated me. She really was brave to do that. She needs to know for future references for any job that she canât treat anyone like that. Me as well as anyone else that shops at this thrift store, fuels the thrift. We as customers deserve to be treated properly and with respect and nothing less. At the end of the day she is making herself and the store look bad. I have never done a review and I also thought if I ever do, it would most likely be a good one. But as my first review Iâm disappointed it had to be a bad one. I just felt that disrespected. Tried to do a little shopping and did not expect all that. I LOVED that thrift store and now when I pass by I am just going to think about this...
Read moreSo again today I tried to shop at the community thrift store. I shopped around for about an hour, brought my items up to the front desk, and of course a condescending cashier cashier tried to dehumanize me today. Meaning, I brought two black towels, a black vest, and a black sheet set up to the cashier's desk. She looked at the two towels and one of the towels tags was hanging off. I asked her; so you think I tried to do something to that tag? She said yes, It looks funny because the tag is hanging. I then, why would I do that? Look at the other towel. It has the same color tag and is stapled to the same type of towel. Why would I change the tag knowing there are cameras and security following me around?. She had the nerve, to condescendantly say, I don't know. Therefore, I left the stuff on the counter and walked out. This is the third time at this thrift store a ignorant cashier đ has tried to dehumanize me. I cannot stand coming here (being a black person much less a woman) the most of the staff is so disrespectful at this community thrift store. Unbelievable!!! After being treated like this so many times, I called the manager who says she is going to have a talk with the ignorant cashier who tried to dehumanize. I'm tired of being treated badly at this one particular thrift store so I'm not coming here anymore. I guess if you're African American you can't come up into the thrift store cuz they'll treat you like your not a part of society. This is probably why the merchandise is not like it used to be people got tired of donating and then being treated. I guess I'll just have to keep on going to the valley thrift store on foothill instead. Not just the cashier but the staff working on the floor were so disrespectful and condescending to me when I would ask a question. So if this happens to you please post it. Please post it because the manager told me they don't hardly have any complaints. I hope you have a good day. Try valley thrift store on Azusa if they treat you bad here as they...

We drove 45 min to check out this thrift store, due to the good customer reviews & a neighbor recommending it, the fact that all the good thrift store are about 30-45 minutes from us, and we were so DISAPPOINTED. They do have a big selection of items in the store, MOST of the prices are decent, some clothes are NEW with the tags still on them, and it is arranged in categories. It is NOT arranged by size and there is NO FITTING ROOMS. There is only ONE full length mirror in the whole store and the shopping carts are SMALL. We went on a day when every price tag color was 50% off EXCEPT green price tags. That's when we noticed that 95% of the store had green price tags. So don't expect to find much that is 50% off. There are NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES either so the lack of fitting rooms means you have to take a chance on most clothes fitting. They only accept CASH payments, the store hours are only 9 am-6 pm and they are not open on Sundays. The parking lot is small and it is crowded with unsupervised children running around. Also, at 5:40 pm the staff will start announcing the store closing in 20 minutes, they continue to do this every 5 minutes, and they turn off about 1/2 of the store lights. That is the one bad customer service decision I did not appreciate.
We only found 3 items in the store to buy and one we had to take a chance on it fitting.
I rated it 2 stars due to the selection, the mostly nice customer service, the fact that they have bathrooms, and the decent prices.
I would NOT recommend this store unless you live close to it and if you are willing to deal with all of the above issues. I will never go back to this store. There are 3 Savers locations within about 10 miles from this store and are way better...
