Dairy Queen Store — Restaurant in Covington

For YEARS this has been our number one choice for family time with sweet treats after dinner. Tonight however was a very sad experience. Google stated the hours of operation were 10am until 10pm. We pulled into the lot at 9:09 pm. While placing our order the girl over the speaker sounded absolutely miserable as though we were an enormous inconvenience. Midway through placing our order for 3 children and 2 adults, lights were being shut off making it hard to view the menu boards and also confirming our inconvenience to them. Our total was 13.83 I gave the girl at the window 14.03, She handed me back the correct amount of change .20 but half of it was in pennies which I was clearly trying to avoid. The milkshake that was ordered was nothing more than a glass of chocolate milk, my son's face on his ice cream was two very sad looking eyes in a small cup of melted ice cream, and the large cone we ordered barely had the amount of ice that would be a decent amount for a small cone. Our first trip this year is definitely our last for the year. Poor service, lack of hospitality and poor quality products are not worth my hard earned money or precious family time. Good luck to...

I have discovered that the Dairy Queen in Latonia/Covington has lower prices than the Dairy Queen Highland Pike in Ft. Wright near Walmart. I believe it is because the one in Latonia is privately owned. I paid about 2 dollars more at Dairy Queen on Highland Pike for a milkshake than I do at my local location on Decoursey Ave across the street from Latonia Liquors and this location has a bench or picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream without taking it in your vehicle. Yes, they do have a drive thru also... if you're in a rush or have somewhere else to be. The associates are generally quick to get you in and out of the drive thru. Just be extra cautious when exiting the lot because it's a busy road and there are pedestrians crossing often and waiting in line at the walk up window. The associates are...

How do you not put cheesecake in a cheesecake blizzard? Also ordered a slush that was half full and mostly syrup. She gave me a small when i ordered a medium and when i asked, she just lied to my face and said it was a medium. Whatever, i should have ordered a small anyways so i just laughed it off. I did ask her to make me a new one though because it was just gross and she stared at me like i was inconveniencing her.
